The house is on Hout Bay beach (with direct beach access), in a security estate with an electric fence and manned security cameras. There is no road between the house and the beach. Only 15 minutes drive from Cape Town. With the beach on the south and a river mouth on the east, the house is walking distance from attractions like Hout Bay Harbour and Chapman's PeakDrive as well as shops and restaurants. The house is directly accessed from an automated secure double garage in the basement (There is a power back-up system, so it is unaffected by power cuts).
Hout Bay is a suburb of Cape Town. It is about a 15 minute drive from the inner city, yet the village has a holiday-town feel. The picturesque working harbour is a favourite with locals and tourists alike. Hout Bay offers top class restaurants and boasts one of Cape Town's most popular food and art/craft makes. Adventure lovers can swim with seals, and enjoy high-speed boating trips. Cruises on offer are for fishing or to the seal island in the Cape Town Marine Park. Foodies can buy fresh seafood in the harbour to prepare at home.
