We are extremely proud because Blaauwheim has once again received a Travellers’ Choice Award from TripAdvisor in 2019, as well as a Certificate of Excellence. We’ve also had our annual grading done by the TGCSA and our five stars were re-awarded for 2020 with a score of 97,5%. Blaauwheim is small, secure and private. With only three rooms there can never be a crowd and everybody is assured of the personal attention they deserve You may be aware that Cape Town and the Western Cape are in the midst of a drought resulting in a water shortage. Anticipating the worst, we had a borehole drilled on our property and fortunately found water of excellent quality! We have been self-sustaining with regards to water since December 2017. Our water is filtered and 100% safe for human consumption.

Somerset West is a tranquil up market town at the foot of the Helderberg Mountains in the Cape Winelands, only 20 minutes from Cape Town International Airport and 40 minutes from the city centre. We offer two luxury suites, Pinotage and Chardonnay, and a luxury double bedroom called Shiraz. Award winning wine estates, several golf courses, top restaurants, nature reserves, the mountains and the beach are all near to Blaauwheim.
