Shepherd's Cottage is free standing on a 5000 sq metre erf with "leiwater" (irrigation water delivered by way of a system of furrows) in the centre of Nieu Bethesda. The property is bordered by streets on two sides and access to the cottage is gained from Church Street, while the main dwelling is situated some 75 metres away on Martin Street. The cottage overlooks a paddock which is home to a number of Meatmaster ewes and lambs. These are not intrusive in any way but prospective guests should be made aware of their presence. By virtue of it's central location, most amenities and attractions are within short walking distance of the cottage.
Suzette loves gardening, cooking and entertaining. Together with her assistant, Caroline, they form a formidable team, waiting to welcome you to Shepherd's Cottage.
Almost all restaurants in town are in a radius of 200 metres from the cottage, as well as The Owl House, the Kitching Fossil Centre, Dustcovers Book Store and the local shop, to name a few. In addition most artists have their studios within short walking distance
