Pearly Beach is a rural haven of endless white beaches and indigenous fynbos dunes. Over the years it has managed to maintain its character as a picturesque hideaway. Uitwaaien is a place to kick back and relax. Just a short 250m walk through the fynbos or via street to get to the beach. It is a place to rest and reset, to clear your head and get away from business and all distractions.
Uitwaaien is a Dutch word that means "to take a break to clear one's head" or literally "to walk in the wind" with the intention to refresh yourself and your mind. Philip has Dutch heritage and grew up with this saying and Jeannine and Philip both lived in the Netherlands, in Amsterdam and Haarlem for 5 years when we were just married.
Pearly Beach is a quiet town for people that likes to relax, to spend time in nature and with friends or family, enjoy beach walks or runs.
