We offer guests a welcoming rural haven with magnificent mountain scenery in the Klein River valley near Stanford, South Africa. The accommodation and wedding facilities have all been renovated to a high standard of comfort and hospitality with the warm and personal touch of the owners. The ambience of the farm is relaxed, comfortable and eclectically elegant. This picture-perfect and historical venue is the ideal place to escape – whether it is for a much needed rest, an adventure, a wedding or a private retreat. The owner lives permanently on the farm, breeds Nguni cattle, Springbok and has created a 2400sqm organic herb and vegetable garden to supply the food baskets, White Water Farm had its own “chapel” which was converted from the old distillery barn and now hosts our reception , where Witblits (a local liquor like Grappa) used to be made, hence the historic farm’s name - Witwater or White Water. We have some lovely animals on the farm, who would love to be visited. These include our donkeys, layer hens, alpacas, pigs, springbok and Nguni cattle. Take a stroll up to our two dams, stocked annually with trout or a head up one of our mountain tracks. We are a bed and breakfast with self catering facilities in the units, should you wish to cook lunch and/or dinners. Included are beautiful locally sourced breakfast baskets, which are delivered to the units every morning.

Stanford has a great deal to offer the visitor, including wine tasting, Saturday markets and superb restaurants right here in and around the village. Visit Panthera Africa sanctuary to see the lions, tigers and leopards that have been rescued from canned hunting projects. Take a hike up neighbouring Philipskop Mountain Reserve or have a horse ride at Stanford Hills Farm. Nearby Hermanus and Gansbaai offers some of the best whale watching in the world and Gansbaai gives the opportunity to see Great White Sharks up close, as well as other amazing sea animals. The area also offers some great beaches, if you can brave the cold water! We also have some great wine farms in the Overberg.
