To me, most Ibis are efficient, soulless and functional. This one manages not to be: it’s fairly small, seems well-run, desk staff friendly and very helpful. Most of all, it has a superb location: ideal base for strolling round a delightful town, and a short walk from the station.

Ibis are a no frills hotel chin with predictable quality. Great for cycling holidays.
