Lovely new, clean hostel, the staff were really great and helpful and it is a short (easy, 5-10 minute) walk from the Central bus station and a short, nice walk (10 minutes) to the city centre. It is cheaper than the hostels right in the city centre and excellent value for money. Plus the WiFi was brilliant. Definitely recommend👍
Cheapest place that I could find for a single room in a hostel
What a disappointing hotel. Was told no rooms available for an upgrade. But they were available on the night on booking.com for cheaper than we paid for a very average room. Won't be going back or recommending it.
Clean, warm and cheap
Cheap, clean, just enough room for 2. Don't expect the world for this money in Reykjavik.
The staff were helpful at all times of day and night in terms of accessing our room as the door code kept messing us up. Ok for families or true budget travelling but definitely wasn't the cheapest option available so a little disappointing but was fine as a base for visiting other places or driving in to the city. The space was generous and has a lot of potential but needs a little TLC & maintenance/upkeep
The hotel is similar to a Travel Lodge / IBIS (in UK terms) so is what we would call a budget hotel. It was basic but clean and the staff were friendly and welcoming. It is close to the City and has restaurants close by. Staff provided a kettle and extra pillows for our comfort. It is a budget hotel so we knew what we were booking for a one night stop over.
