This guesthouse is the perfect spot for a peaceful and relaxing few days on Ilha Grande. Away from the crowds of Abrãao, Ademilson's guesthouse in Araçatiba offers a beautiful escape and immersion into island life. For a very reasonable price you get a room that is clean, well-equipped and has a traditional, rustic feel to it, which suits the surroundings perfectly. The mattresses are particularly comfy - we slept very well every night we were there. Every morning an excellent spread of cheese, meat, bread, fruits, juices and coffee was laid out for us by our excellent host Ademilson. Laid back, friendly and very hospitable, no favour was too big or too small: Ademilson was always happy to help. He gave us many tips about the island, snorkelling masks to use (for free) every day we were there, we also organised a boat trip around the island with his son Daniel. We felt so relaxed and comfortable there than we changed our itinerary and stayed twice as long as we originally planned. Five minutes walk from Ademilson's guesthouse is Araçatibinha beach, where you can snorkel with sea turtles. Right opposite is an equally welcoming family-run restaurant (Aloha) which serves up an affordable and freshly made prato feito for lunch or dinner. Drop-off and pick-up from the pier right by the guesthouse made transport to and from Angra dos Reis very easy.

Well firstly I haven’t finished my stay at this unbelievably accidental amazing find!!!. I was only able to book until the 09th as they were full. But the owner Luciana arranged for me to stay with her mum at Cruzoe for one night, to bridge the gap to allow me the rest of my stay in at Dolce Vita. I love her mum Sonia she’s fabulous and so welcoming.

Pousada Lagamar, sited in the idyllic Ilha Grande, is just in front Lagamar Lagoon, an offer comfortable accommodation with views.

Wonderful pousada located in a tranquil bay with its own beach. Humble, clean and great food, especially the afternoon tea/coffee. Bonito Paraiso is a calm place, perfect for families and couples alike. We especially appreciated the wonderful staff and the overall vibe.

We had a wonderful time at the posada! Such a lovely place with everything you need. It's close to everything and yet quiet. Great view of the town, excellent brakefast, nice garden, and most importantly, Ayelen and the staff were so nice and helpful!!! We highly recommend 👌

We absolutely loved staying here! Cosy, clean hotel right on the beach. The staff went over and above to make you feel welcome and helped organise anything we needed. And the breakfast was delicious. Highly recommend staying here!

We loved it here! Communication before our arrival was great and they even sent us a video on how to get there (which was super easy). The location is great, just a short walk up from the beach with fantastic views! There was free coffee and water all day round and they even have different cakes you can help yourself to. The breakfast was great as well and the staff were super helpful in general answering all our questions about tours, organising transfers and recommending restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!
