That was my little treat during my trip and it was amazing. The house has been restored as new but keeps its traditional soul you feel like going back on time in the Edo period. The owners were so kind, patient and welcoming that I felt like home in Japan. The private room is impeccable with a touch of modernity. Location was perfect for so many things in Kyoto. Hotel was quiet, clean and excellent value. When I return to Kyoto I will definitely stay there again! Thank you...Oh, and you can open the window in your room, which is almost impossible to do at almost all hotels in Kyoto.

Best place I stayed in during my two weeks in Japan, absolutely loved it. Very quiet with a bed so comfortable it was hard getting up in the morning. Also found it very affordable (I only paid 75€ for three nights but think I got a last minute special offer due to the low season). Don’t hesitate to book this!
