The location is great. It's 15-20 mins drive to Lucern city center. We don't like staying in the busy area so it is perfect for us. It's true that there is no AC but there are 2 strong fans which are good enough. It's also true that there are mosquitoes so it's better not to open the window during night. But we managed to stay at our expectation.
Located opposite the train station in the peaceful town of Giswil, Hotel Bahnhof is just a 20-minute walk from Lake Sarnen. It features a restaurant and a large garden.

Kitchen area in the room made it very comfortable. Room was big and quiet. Amazing mountain view, balcony was amazing with a small river in front of it. I would come again, it was a very lovely stay. staff was very friendly.

Comfortable room in a separate building away from the road. Nice to have a kitchen with coffee machine available. We had a nice dinner outside as it was warm and breakfast was very good. Nicely presented in the restaurant. The staff and owner were very friendly.

We stayed at the hotel for one night during a multiple day hike. while unassuming from the outside the hotel room is newly refurbished, surprisingly modern, very clean with bathroom, shower and bed comfortable.
the most positively surprising thing: the cuisine (dinner and breakfast) were excellent. a variety of local products (bread, eggs, meats, yoghurt, cheeses etc.) combined with home made delicacies (try the Merengue!!!).
