L’établissement Riviera Iya Valley se situe à Akano, à respectivement 48 km et 48 km de ces lieux d’intérêt : Parc Mannou et Tsurugi-san Chairlift. I loved everything about it, the location - about 15 min walk to the yokai museum, 30 min to yokai village and cruise boat, 2 shops within 5 min walking distance, a bus stop right outside and train station (where you can also rent e-bikes) 5 min away. The house itself is really nice inside, all fresh wood, smells divine, like a sauna :) Good functional kitchen (comes in handy since all restaurants in the area close around 5pm). You can also go down to the riverside at the opposite side of the street and enjoy an evening at the beach. Very friendly and helpful staff!

Kei, the man who greeted me, was very nice, and speaks excellent English. He also explained the history of the shrine to me. This is a great affordable option near Kochi, and it is easy to take the train in.

Check-in was smooth as butter. The moment I arrived and messaged the host through the app, someone came over right away to guide me in. This is just peak for a hostal. The room is also top notch. The bed is super comfy, pillows are big and soft, and there’s a power outlet placed right next to the bed. There’s even a large folding curtain door separating the bedroom from the living room area, which is great for blocking out light. Now the bathroom setup, its absolutely perfect. They actually placed a stack of drawers outside the bathroom so you can put your clothes there without worrying about them getting wet, this is just unheard of in Japan, at least for me. And there’s a curtain covering the bathroom entrance so you can change comfortably. This seems like a no big deal, but you will appreciate it once you have used it.

Ne vous fiez pas a la décoration un peu vieillot, cette chambre est un véritable oasis de paix. Nous avons dormi comme des bébés. Les lits sont extrêmement confortables, le logement est bien situé et tout équipé. Nous avons adoré notre séjour.

L’établissement ゲストハウス CYCLE&STAY vous accueille à Tokushima, à respectivement 900 mètres et 200 mètres de ces lieux d’intérêt : Gare de Tokushima et Awa-Odori Community Hall. Came by bicycle, rode right in the front door. Perfect for pilgrims, cyclists, and backpackers.
