Sarteano is a perfect base to explore Tuscany, the historic centre is picture perfect with several good local restaurants within walking distance. The palazzo is beautiful. We stayed here as a family of 4 in the green room. Everything was perfect, comfortable beds, good strong shower, clean. Breakfast was a real treat, with homemade croissants, cakes, biscuits, jam, eggs etc. Chiara, the owner is warm and friendly. We would love to visit again.

Raffaele, Tiziana, and all the staff were so welcoming and made us feel at home. The property is stunning and the attention to detail is immaculate. We planned on staying one day only but kept extending and checked out 4 days later. To our benefit they had a last minute cancellation so we were grateful they could accomodate us. Raffaele also booked us at some of the most delicious restaurants, wine tastings and pretty much anything else we needed they were on top of it Truly exceptional people and customer service. For those seeking an unforgettable retreat with relaxation and authentic Italian hospitality....Le Merigge is you place! After a miscommunication (on my part) we arrived at Terra Antica only to be told by another nice Guest, that check-in was a 6 min. drive away: at Terra Antica Resort. Once that was settled, the lovely host Briselda accompanied us back to the property, gave us a thorough introduction And wow, the location, with Montepulciano hilltop in the distance, the Grounds, the Fantastic Pool, and large, High-ceiling Rooms of the Unit: impressive. Great, fully stocked kitchen too, and our Ground floor unit had a large covered Veranda facing the countryside and the Town. amazing Vistas.

Nobilis Charme Relais is a quite new (I believe they opened in Summer 2025) luxurious stay a couple of minutes outside Montepulciano. We had a wonderful stay there in a gorgeous large, comfortable room overlooking Val d'Orcia. We really enjoyed the spa with Sauna, Aroma Therapy Showers, Outdoor Jaccuzzi and the rich and varied Breakfast. Katerina at the reception made great restaurants recommendations based on our taste and took care of all reservations.
