What an experience! We stayed at Mizumari during our honeymooon and I can honestly say we have never felt more welcomed, relaxed, and cared for than we did at Mizumari. Taiyo and his staff are truly incredible and work to meet your every need. For example, when we arrived, we mentioned a specific drink that we had enjoyed on our trip. The next day, Taiyo had sent someone to find the item and served it to us in several different forms. Everyone was so attentive and kind, and we were incredibly sad to leave! The food is incredible and plentiful- the best we had in Japan. We really loved the fresh and creative nature of the food, with a nice mix of seafood and meat dishes including locally sourced foods. The courses keep on coming so be sure to save space! We also appreciated that the staff was very helpful in recommending drinks pairings that go with the meal (and which are included in the booking price). The space was recently rennovated and has a very clean and modern look. We stayed in room 1, which has a large living room, separate bedroom and a patio overlooking the creek with a gorgeous and large onsen tub fed by the hotsprings. The entire space feels very private and quiet. The location is also great, a few steps away from the start of the seven waterfalls hike (which we loved- we had it all to ourselves when we went around 10am), and only a 20minute drive from the coast, where there is limitless hiking and exploring.

The host went out of his way to make us feel welcomed and even personally drove us up to the Waterfall that we had come to Kawazu to see. He made us coffee each morning. The water from the bath is from the Mine Onsen which is a local Onsen. There is also a Tennis court. He is the loveliest man we met in Japan.

The breakfast was absolutely divine! It was excuisitely prepared by the chef every morning, with a large selection of local delicacies. You will be fuelled for a long day of exploring Kawazu and Izu.

We have never experienced this kind of luxury in our lives….. this place and environment totally blew our minds! We had te luxury to stay in the villa, and exceeded all our expectations. The views, the pool, the sauna, the hotspring tub, the fireplace, the BBQ… it was more than enough to really end our holiday totally relaxed! We were supposed to go to Tokyo the last 3 days of our holiday, but we where glad that we canceled that, and went to Shikuoka instead! The falls and wasabi fields and hikes nearby were great excursions, and then come back to the villa was a real dream! Also there were no other guests, so we had the whole place for ourselves…. Panoramic view of water (Sagami Bay) and a wide patio outside, spacious living area to relax, perfect for group of friends or family. Good value for money. Clear instructions to door code for key, parking, prior to arrival. Quick response of communication with all questions. Kitchen adequate with appliances and utensils for easy meals. (There's a BBQ set up outside which we didn't use.) Nice private parking. Peaceful and secluded. Located just off HWY 135, short drive to village (Inatori) for meals but be aware most of them close early some even at 7 pm! A nice restaurant nearby (within walking distance) 網元 closes at 3/4 pm except Sunday (7.30 pm).

Our room was very clean and spacious for 2, had all the amenities needed. There are restaurants and cafes within 5-9min walk from the hotel. The host was so nice, came to pick us up from Izu-kogen station and took us to mt.Omuro in the morning ! Thank you so much !!
