United KingdomBeautiful setting overlooking the river. Our boys had their first fishing experience with the support of the host. That was fantastic. Loved canoeing on the nearby fairly big lake with big waterfalls in the distance. We were the only one on the lake. Great dinner. Very welcoming hosts. Tents are super comfortable with great beds. We also got the indoor fireplace for our s’mores. So, simply a stunning stop on our family road trip through Norway. I wish would have stayed 2 nights. Unforgettable!

Great hospitality in wonderful surroundings.
The stay was fabulous.
At least if you like nature I can only recommend to stay there.
Clean and spacious rooms and very comfortable beds.
Great breakfast and try the dinner option.

Beautifully kept, very clean and well maintained. Authentic country side Scandinavian experience with beautiful scenery and waterfalls / trails surrounding the property — making for easy / relaxed hikes in the Gaularfjellet region.
It’s an old farmhouse. So the kitchen and bathroom are detached. That’s a nice to have, but not a major inconvenience.

We had a wonderful stay at Flatheim. First we've booked for two nights and then expended to total four nights. Flatheim is a lovely and quiet space surrounded by beautiful nature. We loved our cozy apartment. A place to fully undwind and relax. Sigurd was very friendly, helpful and forthcoming. He cooked us two delicious dinners at Flatheim and breakfast was fresh and very nice too. Flatheim is right next to the Waterfall Trail Fossestien, which is worth a beautiful easy walk or long hike. We can recommend Flatheim very much.
