Everything was absolutely perfect. The place itself is a true paradise, and if I were ever to get married, I'd do it here! They also had a beautiful indoor pool, open from early to late, which was a big plus. And the breakfast was probably one of the best I've had in Portugal!

Beautiful location near cute town of Amarante which is charming with good restaurant offerings. The staff is fantastic, professional and focused on quality service and comfort. Highly recommend having car access and be prepared to drive a but for trips into the valley. Excellent! A wonderful hotel right on the banks of the Douro River. The suits are comfortable and well equipped. We were looked after by the very friendly staff - Carla, Tamiä, Silvia and the kitchen staff. Always a smile and very helpful. The hotel has been designed in a very tastefully manner and with greatest love for detail. Just beautiful! The breakfast buffet had a wide selection of freshly prepared foods and is very beautifully decorated. The picnic basket is a must! A wonderful place to unwind, relax and enjoy. This hotel was a top highlight of our trip to Portugal. The pictures don't do this view justice; it is fantastic. Our host was amazing and treated us like family. The room had an exceptional view, and the hot tub, pool, and lounge area were amazing. I was so sad to leave! Also, originally, I thought that this was not in as central of a location in the Douro Valley. After having visited, I think that the location is one of the best in the valley and possibly the best view in the Douro Valley.
