Beautiful cottage with a wonderful view. We got the double room in the house with private bathroom (not ensuite, but we didn’t mind). The room is tastefully decorated and even though it’s not big the space is well utilized. The bed is bigger than what it looks like on the photos. There’s also a nice balcony and air conditioning. Maria, the host, is a lovely sweet woman who gave us many good tips in the area. Be sure to go the Al Medas and O Burgo restaurants!

Do not think twice booking this hotel. I am a very fussy traveler and this hotel exceeded my expectation. The decor inside was very glamorous, the indoor and outdoor pools, outside bar area and garden were very beautiful. It felt like an oasis after a busy Lisbon. We fell asleep every night with open windows, listening to the sound of the stream that runs beside the hotel. The mattresses were exceptional and water pressure in showers good. The hotel is also right in the middle of nature outside of the little town of Penela and therefore felt very peaceful. Receptioin called daily a gentleman from the town to drive us to and back from the This was an experience in itself. There is a cafe opposite the taxi rank that the locals go to. We went twice to have a traditional Portugese drink and food. The full experience. Nobody can speak English but we chatted with everybody. Castle is a non event and town offers very little. If you need a good rest, spoil yourself by going to this hotel.

Talasnal has really been a spectacular, unique place with wonderful nature. And what exceeds all expectations is the service received by the staff at Talasnal Montanhas de amor and the Tavern. In addition to providing us with a delicious dinner, just to warm up in our cabin, since we had not brought food, they gave us a spectacular and tasty breakfast. And above all we received an extraordinary service, understanding our delay in checking out, which made us feel very grateful. And to complete this excellent service, when we forgot a laptop and a cell phone, they took all the trouble to contact my daughter, to give her the message. And we received great help in going down to the nearest town, these teams, so that we could pick it up on the way to Lisbon. A highly recommended paradise. The village, its streets, houses, is like having lived in a wonderful dream. Margarita, Ana Maria, Alicia, and Luchy. We really enjoyed our stay in this wonderful place

We loved the flat! Super modern, clean, lots of space, cool living room to chill out in - including a large screen television and a nice bluetooth speaker. The lounge leads into a lovely terrace, where we had our AM coffees and were greeted by a neighbouring cat and her kittens. The flat is very conveniently located for most attractions, there are a couple of coffee shops nearby, and down the road one of the city's largest shopping centres. We didn't spend much time in the flat, but the time we did it certainly felt very much like home. We definitely recommend it!

Position is perfect, tucked away in a country corner next to a beautiful flowing river. Facilities are brand new and well laid out. The spa was a wonderful addition to the establishment.
