The best hotel I have ever stayed in. Everything you expect with friendly staff, clean and ample parking; but with so many other things which put it above the rest. The botanical gardens attached are beautiful, the use of the thermal pool to cap off your evening is magical and the food from either of the two restaurants is exceptional. Highly recommend.

The 4-star Octant Furnas is located in São Miguel Island, in Vale das Furnas, site of the largest concentration of thermal waters in Europe.

One of the best spa hotels in Europe I can think of, it has unhurried, elegant and stress-free ambiance where you can drop in at the 24 hour open pools rich with iron minerals and the stunning volcanic-inspired spa. One of the best meals we’ve had on the Sao Miguel and staff that goes beyond on service without being obstructive. Had the Terrace Double room and very happy about it

Whenever we had any questions or issues, they responded promptly and assisted us efficiently. The house itself was charming and comfortable, featuring a wonderful jacuzzi and pool with stunning views. Everything was wonderful. Absolutely perfect. Here I want emphasize that the hostess did not have the opportunity to make preparations for our arrival, because she found out about our arrival at the very last minute. We had an unpleasant situation with another property where the accommodation was double booked and we had to find quickly a new one late at night. We found Casa Pyrrhula Murina and it was an amazing experience. Immediately after booking, we called the hostess and announced our arrival. Of course, she didn't know anything about our arrival at first, but she reacted very quickly. The hostess was in another city at that moment, but she quickly organized the keys of the property for us so that we could enter the house. The house was clean, cozy, modern and very nicely furnished. Later, the hostess came by and brought us a welcome bottle of local wine and food for breakfast. Free of charge. No meals were included in the price of our accommodation. I highly recommend this property. This hostess loves her guests and makes them feel like at home.
