Das Rila Hotel Borovets befindet sich im Herzen des ersten Bergresorts auf dem Balkan - Borovets, 70 km von Sofia entfernt. Everything was excellent! The stuff was very friendly. The hotel has a great location, just next to the ski slops. The swimming pool was really good. There was a big variety of food every day. The lounge-bar (restaurant) has a great terrace with the beautiful view. Our kids enjoyed very much the kindergarten with the internal playground. The lady working there, if I remember correctly was called Ella, was extremely kind. We got short of diapers for our baby and she was so kind to buy and bring us one package from her town nearby.

Absolutely amazing stay! Kitanova House is a gem! The staff were incredibly welcoming, always smiling and radiating warmth. The rooms were stunning — full of natural light, beautifully designed with charming folklore touches and just the right hint of modern art. It felt like a perfect blend of tradition and comfort. Breakfast was another highlight — homemade, delicious, and served with care. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a cozy and authentic experience!

Die Unterkunft The White Horse Apartments, die 47 km von Park Witoscha entfernt gelegen ist, bietet Übernachtungsmöglichkeiten mit kostenlosem WLAN und einem kostenlosen Privatparkplatz. This place is an absolute gem. Our host George has been exceptional so far. He assisted us with directions before we arrived and met us with a smile to show us around the room and small spa facility which looks lovely, complete with jacuzzi, sauna, bathroom facilities and optional music. George also helped us out with ski hire from the shop next door, they provided a good price compared to other tourist trap ski hire shops. I would recommend not booking ski hire, etc online and speaking to your host at the apartments instead. He advised that we get the rechargeable ski pass which works out cheaper if you're here for a bit longer. He also gave us reccomendations for food and drink nearby and told us where to avoid. The room itself is lovely, massive windows let in loads of natural light. Comfortable bed. There's also a nice shared balcony overlooking the ski slopes, which brings me on to my next point. The location could not be any better, right across the road from the ski slopes with the ski hire shop right next door and countless food and drink spots within a stone's throw. There seem to be some negative reviews linked to the Google page for White Horse Apartments which are actually for a white horse restaurant which isn't operating anymore. Don't let it deter you. George was also telling us about the plans to further improve the amenities for the accommodation. I won't share the details but it will definitely be worth checking out. We've barely started our holiday here but already we know that we'll be back at some point. Edit after check out: tried to leave a tip for George's mum who cleans the rooms because we can be a bit messy and when we went to collect our bags I found the tip lying on top of the bags. Went to give it to George and they refused to accept it. If that doesn't say something then I don't know what does.

I highly recommend this hotel for your stay in the Bulgarian mountains. It truly stands out from anything else in the area. You can tell the owners have international experience – they know how things should look and work. I also really loved their branding, it’s thoughtful and well executed. The food in the restaurant was a fantastic surprise after many mixed experiences in Bulgaria. My husband and I also enjoyed the sauna and jacuzzi, playing games in the cozy lobby, the clean sheets, and the spacious room. We’ll be happy to come back!

Great and warm homey huts. The furniture and interior decoration are delicate in traditional style. The host families are very kind and hospitable. We took a horseback riding tour. That was great. Being explained clearly, the horses are tamed, which made us feel released without any experience. While riding, the host kept an eye on us. Riding freely and independently in the nice greenery forest was amazing. Their breakfast with additional charges was great and worthy.
