Manzanillo Caribbean Resort offers a hot tub. You can play billiards and darts at the accommodation, and bike hire is available. WOW!!! First timers in CR so we didn't know what to expect. We were very happy with our choice. The breakfasts were terrific with cereal, yogurt, eggs (scrambled or fried), sausage, pancakes etc were great. The resort is extremely well maintained and clean. The pool and kids pool were very clean and probably 89°F during our stay (end of February). The Tiki Bar is staffed with great guys who are happy to help. They offer adult beverages and kids drinks along with some really great lunch and dinner options. The only complaint is around the policy around the drinks at the pool. I completely understand not having any glass around the pool but there is nothing better than relaxing in the pool with your drink on the edge of the pool especially when the Tiki Bar provides the drinks in glass. Might suggest a review? The accommodations were also very nice with plenty of hot water. The bed was comfortable and the room was made up daily with fresh towels for the bathroom and the pool. The location was also an easy walk to Playa Manzanillo. Are there resorts that you could pay double or triple the price? I am sure there are but why???? This resort satisfied all our needs and when looking at the hit to the bank account it was a fantastic choice. Don't be fooled by others, you will NOT be disappointed here

Very nice swimming pool and amenities, with a beautiful park (with monkeys, all kinds of birds, sloths, iguanas...). Adorable owners, welcoming, always kind and helping with everything.

New Caribe Point features a hot tub and offer massage services. Staff was amazing, truly wanted to make us comfortable. One of the big reasons we went with this hotel was the availability of the free bikes- which unfortunately kept breaking down. But they went out of their way to fix them for us. We also appreciate the do it-yourself laundry available, and the clean pool to cool off in, during the late afternoon when it’s really hot. The air conditioning worked really well and the location is great; as it is not in the middle of the downtown hustle and bustle. Very close to the national park - we biked there three times! Nice restaurant - Reggae’s - very close. Easy access to stretch of black sand beach that was not full of tourists. We spotted all kinds of tropical birds in the property and a sloth right across the street.

The hotel has 7 bedrooms with private bathrooms, 1 apartment 6 persons, equipped community kitchen, pool, hot tub and BBQ. The rooms have a ceiling fan, air conditioning, a fridge, a TV, and a hammock on the terrace. Free WiFi connection and parking is also offered at this property. We had a great stay at El Colibri Rojo and ended up extending our stay to 12 days. The rooms were comfortable with AC, we enjoyed spending time at the pool and breakfast was tasty. The location was perfect for us, since we rented a car and could park at the property. We also enjoyed being just a little out of the hustle and bustle of the centre, which was only 6 minutes by car. Playa Blanca is a 6 min drive as well. The place has a very calm nature and the garden is just stunning. The hosts were very friendly and hospitable and advised us on some tours that we wanted to do, which you can book through them. Cahuita is calmer than Puerto Viejo, which is just what we needed. It’s only a 15 min drive there. And you are just a small walk away from Cahuita National Park, which we can highly recommend visiting. All in all the best place we stayed at in Costa Rica!
