Set in the Pyrenee mountains near the French border, this hotel and restaurant is off the beaten track, yet known to many locals. The room was clean and comfortable, the bathroom spotless and modern. There is ample free parking and beautiful views of the mountains. We booked half board and were very satisfied. The restaurant was full of locals, the food was delicious and plentiful and beverages were included. Breakfast was plentiful and freshly prepared. There were several opportunities for easy hiking in the area, as well as more advanced trails for jogging, but unfortunately we did not have the time this trip. We will return next year and plan for a longer stay.

The Resguard dels Vents hotel and spa is situated in the Ribes Valley. All rooms have a terrace or access to the private garden.

The location is excellent, the view is amazing. The owner Mr. Xavier and his wife Mrs.Araceli were charming and went out of their way to make our stay pleasant. Mr. Xavier recommended and explained to us about hiking routes in the area - which made us enjoy the area more. The hotel is located right on the river bank and the village is small and lovely. The hotel and the room were clean and pleasant, the garden is well-kept and charming. The breakfast was good. We also had delicious dinners at a reasonable price in a restaurant that also belongs to them. I will absolutely recommend the hotel to those who want some peace, nature and excursions.
