Our stay at this charming building was absolutely wonderful! From the moment we arrived, the host’s warm and friendly demeanor made us feel right at home. The room was cozy and well-maintained, providing the perfect retreat after a day of exploring. One of the highlights was undoubtedly the delicious breakfastin the morning morning—fresh, flavorful, and made with care, it was the ideal way to start the day. We'd stayed at Finca El Castillo before (in one of the Cabañas) and had been fascinated by the idea of staying in La Cueva, so we were delighted to find it available for when we would be passing through La Cabrera again. Finca El Castillo is a very chilled, relaxed and friendly place with a nice pool area and plenty of space.  It's great for dogs!  It's a little quirky, but that's what we like about it.  La Cueva is definitely unique, but it's also blissfully cool in hot weather, spacious and very comfortable.  The spa bathroom is magical!  Kitchen facilities are pretty basic, but adequate because you have a menu from which you can order food (including breakfast) that is then delivered to your accomodation where you can enjoy it outside watching the squirrels or inside at the massive baronial-style table.  There's also plenty of parking, the staff are lovely and all in all it's just a really laid-back, easy place to stay.  We'll be back!

Location was great, set in the this picturesque village which is Patones de Arriba. The room was clean, though obviously small, as one would expect from a room in a rural cottage. Breakfast was quite varied and abundant, though everything was self-service.
