Situé à Orbey et offrant une vue sur la montagne, l’établissement Gîte La Petite Finlande possède un jardin, un salon commun, une terrasse, un restaurant et un barbecue. L'accueil par notre hôtesse était au top. Merci à vous pour votre gentillesse. Vous n'avez bien conseillé pour les randonnées à faire tout autour votre gîte super bien situé dans la nature et la moyenne montagne. La soirée passée avec vous en table d'hôte était agréable, conviviale, avec une bonne cuisine préparée par vous avec de délicieux produits locaux. Merci aussi. Nous avons passés une belle semaine, notre chien, ma compagne et moi. Merci pour le dépaysement.

Les Ecrins is absolutely worth a recommendation. The house itself is a beautifully restored villa from 1900. The interior decoration is beautifully done and very tasteful. Our room was spacious and although it was at the front of the building, traffic noise was hardly noticable. If you're an extremely light sleeper, you might want to ask for a room that's not at the front. Breakfast is served in one of the rooms at ground floor, where a woodfire is burning in the morning. Breakfast itself is more than plentyful and consists of croissants, bread and cake with an assortment of self-make jams and honey, cheeses, ham, yoghurt, apple juise and coffee. It's really more than enough to start your day in the best possible way. Both hosts are extremely friendly and helpful; they make staying at Les Ecris very enjoyable.

Situé à Orbey, le Logis Hostellerie Motel Au Bois Le Sire propose un hébergement avec salle de bains privative en Alsace, à seulement 39 km de route de Gérardmer. We booked this hotel as part of a motorcycle tour, preferring a smaller town over a larger one for bike security, and this Hotel has some garages - although as it turned out we could park in front of our rooms we did not bother,... The Hotel has number of "motel style" rooms behind it, and we had one of these as a "free upgrade" as the hotel was busy, the rooms were very large with a small sofa and table, plus a large bed, bathroom and seperate toilet, the rooms were very clean and the bed extremely comfortable. The Hotel was clearly built to a very high standard and looks great, possibly a little dated now, but I liked it a lot, a refreshing change from modern Hotels. An added bonus was the facilites with a decent sized swimming pool, hot tub, steam room and sauna, very welcome after arriving by motorbikes in torrential rain (other weather conditions are available, but not bookable) and dressing gown in the rooms. The gym is quite basic - but who goes on Holiday to work out??? Due to the bad weather we decided not to explore the town looking for places to eat or drink, but there are several other options in the town, this turned out well as we really enjoyed the set meal in the Hotel which was amazing value. For cyclists or motorcyclists the location is perfect, with great roads on the doorstep, a good base for exploring the region. The staff were really good and nothing was too much trouble for them.
