From the moment we arrived, the hospitality at Les Carmes was exceptional. Pascal, the host, is not only welcoming but also incredibly knowledgeable and worldly! I'm certain he has traveled to one of the countries we call home. His warmth and generosity were evident when he upgraded our room at no extra cost. The hotel itself is cozy and elegant, radiating the charm of a bourgeois family estate. Surrounded by apple orchards, it offers a serene and authentic Provençal experience. The attention to detail extends to the rooms, with a supremely comfortable mattress, perfect water pressure in the shower, and an inviting warmth that made our stay all the more pleasant. Pascal went above and beyond by personally booking our table at Renaud Mets in L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, where we had an unforgettable meal! Every dish felt like a piece of heaven. Back at the hotel, the breakfast and dining experience were equally exquisite. Though I didn’t have time to try the spa, everything else about Les Carmes made it a truly special place to stay in the South of France. It’s an ideal retreat to experience the region’s culture, hospitality, and culinary excellence! Plus, it’s conveniently close to Aix-en-Provence. A wonderful destination, and one I’d gladly return to.

Hosts are very friendly and helpful. They welcomed us late at night without any hesitation even though it was almost midnight. In the morning, they welcomed us in their lovely home for breakfast with an amazing view. Very clean property, everything is new and cleverly made. Also, includes nice amenities such as tennis court and jacuzzi. Great value for money, definitely recommended!

Beautiful hotel was a treat after a 250km solo hike through Provence. Got the family room with balcony overlooking the pool where I was able to enjoy a glass of wine whilst watching the sunset, doesn’t get better. Top quality bedding and linen honestly couldn’t say anything negative about it. A true 5 star hotel. Also made use of the gym.

We stayed in a spacious, clean, and cozy cottage that had everything we needed. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, and the comfort was top-notch. Mornings were a highlight thanks to the outstanding breakfast—fresh, delicious, and served with care. The pool and the peaceful, quiet surroundings made it a perfect place to unwind. It truly felt like a slice of paradise. We've stayed in many places before, but this was by far the best. 100% recommended for anyone looking for a unique and relaxing experience. Beautiful place away from the crowds and bustle of the Côte d’Azur. Lovely owners Laura and Terry who looked after us extremely well. Beautiful breakfasts. Rooms very clean and beds comfortable. Plenty of walkable more affordable restaurants than the bigger towns. This place really delivers the personal touch. I would return in a heartbeat.

42 km from Col de la Lombarde in Valdeblore, Chalet Le Tilleul provides accommodation with access to a hot tub. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property.
