Situated right in the centre of Thessaloniki, 72 AD Suites features accommodation with city views, just 300 metres from Church of Agios Dimitrios and less than 1 km from Aristotelous Square. Everything about our stay here was perfect. From the check-in process with the staff member at the front desk to saying goodbye early the next morning to catch a bus out of town, we had a wonderful time here. The beds were comfortable and the bathroom was immaculate. It was great to have access to a fullly-stocked coffee machine and a mini-fridge (although the fridge wasn't very cold). We were also happy to have a balcony to ourselves! We didn't take part in the amenities available, although considering the state of the rest of the hotel I'm sure they were also immaculate. Also, the surrounding neighborhood was beautiful - tons of restaurants, shops, and beautiful (and safe!) places to walk :)

Our large group was welcomed like family, and the staff really went out of their way to make our stay delightful. They organized a wonderful wine and cheese event, offered advice and contacts at restaurants around town, and genuinely tried to help us any way they could. We also enjoyed the lobby piano, where our group gathered frequently to play and sing together. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and with all of the usual amenities, plus a delicious welcome treat. Meals at the restaurant were delicious and the breakfast buffet rich in variety and flavor. They even had donuts (I'm a donut fanatic). We enjoyed massages at the SPA, which is certainly worth a visit. A reproduction of Theodoros Vryzakis' The Reception of Lord Byron in the lobby offers an historical nod to the English poet benefactor of the 19th century Greek war for independence.
