We absolutely loved this property—it was the perfect place to stay during our trip! The views of the lake are breathtaking, and the tranquil atmosphere made our stay so enjoyable. One of the highlights was having access to water equipment like kayaks, which were included in the stay—such a great perk for exploring the lake. We were pleasantly surprised by the food, especially after reading some of the previous reviews. Out of curiosity, we spoke to the hotel staff about the feedback, and they mentioned they’ve been working hard to improve. It shows! The included breakfast was absolutely delicious and gave us the perfect start to our day. The staff were wonderful—always friendly and eager to help. Getting around the property was seamless, as we never had to wait for a golf cart to take us to our room. Overall, this property exceeded our expectations. From the stunning views to the thoughtful amenities and excellent service, it was a truly memorable experience. Highly recommend it!

Dit boetiekhotel ligt op 10 minuten rijden van de internationale luchthaven Mundo Maya. Wonderful hotel. The villas on the water are suberb, the hot tub is a huge plus. Service is good, we enjoyed room service. Breakfast was good, but not impressive. The dinner was okay- not perfect.

Dit charmante hotel ligt in de Petén Jungle in het noorden van Guatemala, aan de oevers van het meer van Petén. Het biedt fantastische uitstapjes naar de Maya-ruïnes van het nationaal park Tikal. Heerlijk schoon, luxe standaardkamer naar Westerse begrippen. Het bed lag goed en de douche was erg fijn. We kregen een welkomstdrankje en het personeel was ontzettend vriendelijk en stond altijd voor je klaar. Het was een groot terrein waarbij elke kamer op de bomen of het meer uitkijkt. Je kunt gratis gebruikmaken van het zwembad, de jacuzzi, het meer en de sauna. In de tijd dat wij er waren was het vrij verlaten, wegens laagseizoen. Je kunt ook excursies bij hen boeken.

La Lancha by Francis Ford Coppola is gelegen in El Remate met uitzicht op de tuin en heeft een restaurant, een gedeelde lounge, bar, tuin, buitenzwembad dat het hele jaar door open is en terras. The beautiful scenery nested in nature. The staff are SO LOVELY, kind and attentive and helpful- they all made the stay extra special. The breakfast view of the lake and the wonderful array of birds and animals (spider monkeys!) that can be seen from the property. The relaxing pool area and mirador too! 🩷 great location for tours to Tikal, Yahxa etc. Wish we had more time to explore more of the area and do a bird watching tour too.

Het ligt op het eiland Flores en is via de weg verbonden met de oever van het meer Peten Itza. Hotel Casona de La Isla beschikt over een buitenzwembad en een hot tub. The room had 3 queen beds and was very spacious. We fit my spouse, 2 daughters and father with plenty of room and did not feel crowded at all. The view from the balcony was very pretty. The included breakfast (for the 3 adults only) was delicious and traditional. They offered a shuttle to the airport and even though we had to get there a couple hours earlier, we appreciated the free ride and the driver was great! They also had a bar with great views and the entire hotel was very clean. If we are lucky to return to this area again, we will definitely stay here.

El Mediterráneo heeft een tuin, een terras, een restaurant en een bar in San José. Such a nice place with a wonderful view. The room was very clean and super comfortable. The atmosphere here was really nice although a bit sad that the water in the whole area is taking over . At the check out we had a little trouble with the included breakfast via booking.com but in the end, after a short call with the manager the owner talked to the staff of the hotel and made everything clear. It's been a very nice place and we would always recommend to others! 😀
