Breakfast was also superb. Staff was friendly and welcoming. We had a room with lake view that was really nice. We did a road trip to East end of the Iceland and this was perfect place to stay on the east side.

Cozy, comfortable, clean and modern cottage with lots of space. Nicely equipped kitchen. Great hot tub on the deck overlooking the sea. Spectacular drive over the mountain pass and through the fjord to reach the cottage. Helpful and friendly host.

Laugarfell Accommodation & Hot Springs is located in the Eastern Highlands and is at the border of Vatnajökull National Park. From Laugarfell you have access to many hiking trails and you are close to the road leading to Askja. Laugarfell is accessible for all types of vehicles.

There is a shared guest lounge and restaurant. The restaurant offers breakfast, dinner and coffee, cake and snacks. If you want to self-reflect, chill out and self-discover in the middle of nowhere - this is the place. Very serene atmosphere, beautiful place.

This little house cannot be called luxury, but it is incredibly cozy. We had the best three days of our 2-weeks journey around Iceland in this place. It is especially well equipped with every little detail to make you feel at home and relaxed. The kitchen has everything one might think of. Small but very cozy bedroom, where you feel like in a cradle and don't want to leave. Thank you very much to the owner who has thought of everything with love and care! Very much recommended!!!

Hotel Stadarborg is in Breiddalur Valley, next to Road 1 and less than a 1-hour drive from Egilsstadir. It provides modern en-suite rooms, a restaurant, hot tub and sauna are available at an additional charge. Much better than expected. Fantastic room, people, breakfest. Yes, this is end of world - if you are interested in the place as really good end of world - it is good place. Dont tray to ask about casino or clubs and 17 restaurants. This is real old icelandic style for&with pragmatic and friendly people. One of my favourite.
