Die in Hveragerði gelegene Unterkunft Backyard Village ist 45 km von The Pearl und 45 km von Kirche Hallgrímskirkja entfernt. We loved everything about this cabin. We were in the Turquoise cabin. The location was the perfect base for exploring the Golden Circle and the neighbouring Selfoss. It was also convenient to Keflavik Airport as well as Reykjavik. In the town, there are restaurants, cafes, bars, grocery shops and petrol stations if you just want to hang about the village. We walked to the brewery our first night - everything’s within a 10-15 minute walk. There’s also some hiking and thermal springs close by (we didn’t get to dip in the springs because we ran out of daylight). On to the property - it was like being home and living near a friendly neighbour. It felt very private and the cabin was very warm in freezing temperatures. (once we identified the one window that was left on breathe!) There was everything we needed for cooking/eating and the coffee machine was a bonus. There’s no cable TV, but that was perfectly fine - we just cosied up to some Netflix movies at the end of the day (when we weren’t in the sauna or hot tub). The bathroom was spacious and clean and soap, etc. was available, which was unexpected and handy. The bedroom was comfortable for the both of us. The bed was incredibly comfortable and we sleep like babies the entire stay. Our favourite parts of our stay were the sauna and hot tub. We enjoyed a couple of sauna sessions during our stay and spent a few nights in the hot tub. On our last night, we were slightly bummed that we didn’t see the northern lights and around the time we were thinking to get out, they appeared and put on the most beautiful show. We didn’t have our cameras, but it’s a memory that will live with us for a long time. Last, but not least, the hosts were incredible and friendly and available when we needed them. They were also very communicative before and during our stay. We’ve been considering a second trip when the weather improves, and if we’re down that way, we Weill certainly stay in the Backyard Village again.

The location and the cabin. It was amazing! But the best thing for us was the owner, who was worried about us (we spent 2 nights during a weather red alert ). We really appreciated this!

Die in Selfoss in der Region Südisland gelegene Unterkunft EYVÍK Cottages - Private HOT TUB! bietet kostenloses WLAN, Grillmöglichkeiten, einen Garten und einen kostenlosen Privatparkplatz. Einfach alles an diesem Cottage war toll! Wunderschön und modern eingerichtet, und vor allem die Küche ist perfekt ausgestattet. Der hot tub war die perfekte Entspannung nach einem langen Tag unterwegs. Die Vermieter sind auch sehr bemüht und freundlich! Wir empfehlen es auf jeden fall gerne weiter!

One of our favorite places to stay on this trip and certainly the most unique! The barrel guest rooms are surprisingly spacious and super cute. We got to enjoy the hot tub in the middle of winter!
