The place was amazing with the room very clean and the view and landscape wonderful . We would like to make a special thank to the receptionist Adela, she was very kind and attentive, also helped us to get a transportation for Hella city.

Located in Hvolsvöllur and with Seljalandsfoss reachable within 22 km, Midgard Base Camp provides concierge services, non-smoking rooms, a shared lounge, free WiFi throughout the property and a terrace. Providing a restaurant, the property also has a garden, as well as a sauna and a hot tub. The accommodation features evening entertainment and a tour desk. We stopped at Midgard Base Camp for one night only and will remember this place, mostly because of an amazing staff that helped us plan out the day and see our first northern lights! If we can come back to Iceland, we will definitely stay here again! Perfect place to wash clothes and dry hiking shoes as well.

At the apartment complex, some units are soundproof. The location is great, having a great view of both the waterfall behind the property and the ocean while relaxing in the hot tub. The rooms are lovely with a large communal kitchen. If I could go back in time I'd have based more of my trip out of here. The rooms were much nicer than we expected based on the price and frankly it was a better night than the hotel twice the price down the road.

Executive suites feature a balcony with a private hot tub and a king size bed. The design of the hotel when you pull up and see that black wooden siding was stunning. The decor inside impecable. Everything was super stylish. Totally on point.

Árbakki Farmhouse Lodge offers a hot spring bath and free private parking, and is within 18 km of Geysir and 28 km of Gullfoss Waterfall. Featuring a shared kitchen, this property also provides guests with a picnic area. Guests can make use of the sun terrace or the children's playground, or enjoy views of the mountain and river. We had an incredible stay here. The hospitality was perfect, the breakfast was really varied and delicious. The beds and everything was very comfortable. They have a hot tube which we could enjoy at night.

The family-owned Hótel Lækur is set on an Icelandic horse farm, between the Golden Circle and the south coast. Hella is 10 minutes’ drive away. It offers a sun terrace and a guest lounge.

The bright, modern rooms feature wooden floors and private bathrooms. Some include either a terrace or balcony. The surrounding views take in the Hekla and Eyjafjallajökull volcanoes. Superb location, away from all the lights, roads and noise. Staff is super friendly and helpful Food in general, dinner and breakfast, was very nice and regional - which we appreciate a lot. The rooms are super cosy, spacious and clean. It offers everything you need. We would and will book again when back in Iceland, and we will recommend it to friends, since we really experienced a great time there!

This hotel is set on a farm within the Golden Circle Region, 15 minutes’ drive from Gulfoss Waterfall and Geysir hot water springs. It offers horse riding during the summer season, traditional cooking and a geothermal outdoor hot tub. Nice view from the room. Excellent breakfast

Fully recommended.
