Our stay at Katsuemon Gosho was an absolute highlight of our trip to Japan. Everything about it was wonderful - the hosts and their gracious hospitality, the 200 year old traditional farmhouse, the stunning courtyard garden and the general rural neighbourhood. The hosts are proud of their home and we felt privileged to stay there. They only accept one lot of guests at a time which made our stay even more special. Translate apps allowed us to communicate very effectively. We ordered a traditional Japanese dinner and breakfast the next morning and highly recommend that if you are staying that you do too. The home cooked food was outstanding and more like a feast than a dinner. We would give this property more stars if we could.

Hotel New Wakasa ligt op 12 minuten lopen van het treinstation Kintetsu Nara en biedt kamers in Japanse stijl met vloeren van tatami (geweven stro). Geweldige ervaring. Prachtige traditionele kamers en hele vriendelijke mensen. Je krijgt traditionele kleding te leen en de privé onsen is ook geweldig. Beste verblijfplaats van onze reis.

We loved the attention to detail, especially the vintage record player with Japanese vinyls and how well stocked the kitchen was (oil, spices, rice, coffee etc. - the best we had in Japan!). Staff was very accommodating. Very spacious, perfect for our group. We had to change the group size due to a mistake of our own and it was very easy to resolve, thank you for that. We had a great time!

Staff was extremely kind and attentive, we felt like we were in a japanese house. The woods surrounding the house were really beautiful, and food was really good - ideal for anyone wanting to escape and rest in a quiet area

Shikano Resort ligt op 16 minuten lopen van station Nara en 18 km van Iwafune Shrine, en is voorzien van gratis WiFi en een tuin. Wonderful stay! We were in town for a conference and really enjoyed the Shikano accomodation! It was very spacious, clean and all amenities (like iron, nice towels and bedding) were taken care of! The owner was very friendly and self checkin went very smooth. The quiet neighborhood really provides you with rest after a busy day. We loved it and would absolutely come again!

I stayed here with friends, and the small garden was beautiful, the house was clean comfortable, and full equipped. It was also close to Hasedera Temple, and easy to assess Muro-temple ,Omiwa shrine,so we really enjoyed Nara.
