Situé à 5 minutes à pied de la gare de Yudanaka, le Yudanaka Tawaraya Ryokan propose des hébergements de style japonais avec connexion Wi-Fi gratuite et télévision à écran plat, des bains thermaux... The property was very cosy, it was a lovely experience to stay in an original ryokan, and have a quiet time in the onsen. The staff was extremely kind and friendly, and the location was just a short walk from the train station.

Very spacious and beautifully presented rooms in traditional Ryokan in the middle of Shibu Onsen. Comfortable Tatami beds. Great to have private toilet. The onsite outdoor private Onsen and inside (male/female) onsens were fantastic. Loved the supplied Yukata and Geta for the Onsens. Key supplied for all public onsens through town. The owners were so helpful and kind, driving us to and from snow monkeys and to Yudanaka station for our train. Enjoyed the traditional home made breakfast delivered to our room at reasonable price in beautiful bento box.

Aburaya Tousen offers luxurious contemporary Japanese-style accommodation with an amazing 11 types of hot-spring baths and free WiFi. The was excellent and helpful, and the room was great

L’établissement 志賀高原 白い温泉 渓谷の湯 vous accueille à Yamanouchi, à 14 km de ce lieu d’intérêt : Parc aux singes de Jigokudani. C était notre première expérience dans un onsen et ça a été exceptionnel. C est un vrai onsen avec le source d eau chaude avec son odeur forte characteristique mais qui indique qui est un véritable onsen. Le repas était incroyable. D une finesse inouïe. Le service était excelente, le personnel extremenr attentif et souriant. On reviendrai sans doute!

L’établissement Shoraiso se trouve à Yamanouchi, à 4,1 km de ce lieu d’intérêt : Parc aux singes de Jigokudani. Il propose un jardin, un salon commun, une terrasse et un parking privé gratuit. We had a great stay at Shoraiso for our honeymoon in December. Service is unparalleled and the staff are doing above and beyond to make us feel like home without being intrusive. We love the elephant decor of the room and the beautifully landscaped garden, and the private onsen is definitely the highlight of our trip. Breakfast and dinner are included and the food is just exceptional (very tasty with fresh local ingredient and creative presentation). The location is quite convenient - 45min train from Nagano to Yudanaka station and hotel is just a few min drive away (the hotel can arrange pick up). Monkey park is quite close (around 15min taxi away). Overall we couldn’t recommend this hotel more!

Situé à Yamanouchi et offrant une vue sur la montagne, l’établissement Hotarutei Villas propose une terrasse, un restaurant et un bar. Omakase dinners and breakfast were absolutely delicious and exceeded our expectations. Location was very close to snow monkey park. Private onsen was a luxurious experience for us in the property itself.

This lounge is so special that you can wait for your dinner table (because of the tight reservation in Christmas season) there while drinking your drinks by a bonfire, this even makes waiting a wonderful experience...

Authentic Japanese experience. This is a family-run hotel with various offered services. Ski renting and lesson can be done at the hotel. Ken is truly an amazing teacher. Very patient and encouraging. We booked 3 lessons with him and very satisfied. As for food, we opted for half board option and find that the dinners, in every nights we stayed, are delicious and nutritional. Ski-in/ski-out is very convenient. The ski lift is right in front of the hotel. The Sun Valley area is also great for both beginner and intermediate skiers with green/red/black slopes in one area. On weekdays, there are almost no people there, which is nice if you want to practice or learn to ski. The bus stop to the city and other areas is only 100m away. The 24-h onsen is perfect after a tiring day of skiing. The family's hospitality is unmatched. I broke my glasses and Captain helped me fix them :) they literally have everything. Highly recommend!
