Le J-Hoppers Kumano Yunomine Guesthouse est situé à Hongu, à 10 minutes en voiture ou à 70 minutes à pied du chemin de pèlerinage Kumano Kodo depuis le grand sanctuaire de Kumano Hongu Taisha. Yunomine onsen itself is a wonderful place and J-Hoppers offers a perfect spot to enjoy it. Very well organized staff, great value for money, amazing onsen.

Occupant un temple bouddhiste vieux de 1000 ans, le Shukubo Koya-san Eko-in propose des hébergements de style japonais, un beau jardin et une connexion WiFi gratuite. Staying at Eko-in was an exceptional and unforgettable experience. I highly recommend booking the Okunoin cemetery night tour—it was both atmospheric and deeply moving. The meals are fully vegetarian and beautifully presented. If you're not a fan of tofu, some of the dinner dishes might not be to your taste—but that, too, is part of the cultural and spiritual experience. I was initially anxious about sleeping on a traditional futon, but it turned out to be surprisingly comfortable and added to the overall sense of authenticity. A truly unique stay.

Everything is wonderful! Especially the dinner that the owner made, I think that is the most delicious meal I’ve ever had in this trip 🤤🤤🤤

L’établissement 高野山 宿坊 光明院 -Koyasan Shukubo Komyoin- vous accueille à Koyasan, à respectivement 39 km et 45 km de ces lieux d’intérêt : Kishi Station et Matsushita Park. It was such an amazing, unique experience. The monks are most welcoming and accommodating. Ryokan style rooms with futons, which can be a bit hard, as expected (part of the experience). The place looks incredible, still attains so much history and ancient culture within its walls. It was incredible to be a part of that for a bit and attending the ceremonies was the highlight of our stay.

L’établissement Surf Imin G-Sun vous accueille à Wakayama, à 900 mètres de ce lieu d’intérêt : Plage d'Isonoura. Takaji nous a accueilli dans sa maison avec nos 3 enfants dans une ambiance détendue. Il nous appris à manger les soba en faisant du bruit :) et il a même donné une leçon de surf aux enfants ! Cela nous a fait penser aux rencontres de nos années de couchsurfing. La chambre était spacieuse (avec une partie jour et une partie nuit) et confortable.

L’établissement Guesthouse Fuki Juku se trouve à Fuki, à 40 km de ce lieu d’intérêt : Subaru Hall. Il propose un service de prêt de vélos, un jardin et un parking privé gratuit. Amazing guesthouse! Very Japanese style countryside guesthouse. Very delicious traditional Japanese home-style dinner and breakfast. If you wanna visit Koyasan but do not want to live in the temple, definitely a perfect choice! The host is very kind and offer free pick-up service from hashimoto station and drop-off service in the morning at Koyasan. He knows very well about the history and the tour guide of Koyasan. He gives me a very detailed introduction to Koyasan and helps me to drop off luggage in the station as well.

Situé dans le quartier sacré du mont Koya, le 高野山 宿坊 桜池院 -Koyasan Shukubo Yochiin- est un temple historique et un hébergement pour les visiteurs. The temple stay was wonderful. Our room was gorgeous, looking into an inner garden, with a lovely bathroom and a huge wardrobe. It was spotlessly clean and extremely spacious. We were offered hakatas, and took the delicious veggie dinner and breakfast in a side room of the temple. The staff were so polite and helpful and one monk took us on a very informative tour of the graveyard after dark on Halloween - perfect. We were lucky enough to attend the morning prayer ceremony with only one other guest which made it very intimate, in the stunning inner sanctum. The whole building and its gardens are really fabulous. I wasn’t sure what to expect and if we would feel like intruders, but the stay was way beyond our expectations

Everyone was so nice and accommodating! The decor and lighting was really cool, and it was very helpful to have so much space and laundry machines inside the room. The onigiri and vegan ice cream cone were also really good!

Proposant un jardin, l’hébergement 里庵紀の風 Rian Kinokaze vous accueille à Kokawa, à respectivement 15 km, 17 km et 18 km de ces lieux d’intérêt : Kishi Station, Jigenin Temple et Matsushita Park. Nous avons adoré notre séjour. L'endroit est spacieux, chaleureux et très accueillant. Le ryokan a été préparé avec soin et le personnel est souriant et serviable. En effet, le propriétaire nous a grandement aidé dans notre installation et nous a même offert des fruits locaux. Nous reviendrons avec plaisir sans hésiter.
