We had a wonderful stay and can wholeheartedly recommend Nature House. The rooms and the entire property are very well-maintained, everything is clean, and you feel at home right away. The owner is incredibly friendly and helpful. You can also book safaris to the national park directly on-site; we did the 4-hour safari and had an amazing experience. Half-board is definitely worth it—the breakfast is excellent, and the dinner was also very delicious and plentiful.

The home cooked food was amazing, the cottages have all you need, the backyard allows you to enjoy the nature and relax. the Safari full day was a very memorable experience. Our driver knew exactly how to go off the beaten tracks and to create a unique experience.

We loved the nature around. Many birds singing in the morning and everting. You could even see a monkey swinging on the nearby tree :) We were welcomed with a cold juice. The room was spacious and clean. Very comfortable. The dinner was one of the best we ate in Sri Lanka. Delicious homemade rice & curry. The same thing for breakfast, really tasty. In our room we had a kettle, tea, coffee and a bottle of water. We were just passing through Udawalawa, but would definitely spend more time in Wild River Side if we could :) Thank you!

We had an outstanding stay with Prashansa and her husband in September 2025 at the GVSR. The room (Eagle Family Suite) was very clean and a good size for three adults, with a balcony and ample seating to take in the forest. The serenity and greenery on the property is fantastic (if peace is what you’re looking for). It was great to also laze about in the hammocks in the large garden area they have. And there’s a bathtub in the suite we booked. The food was absolutely delicious and filling (huge portions) for breakfast and dinner (if you decide to eat at the property). The hospitality is wonderful, their motto about guests relaxing and them making things simple really shines through everything they do. They also organised an incredible safari at Udawalawa National Park for us. Amille is a very experienced and knowledgeable safari guide who took us to great spots to find elephants in a relatively dry season when most elephants are hiding. We got really close to some incredible wild elephants thanks to his great driving without disturbing their plans/activities. GVSR is just a few moments from a really amazing Elephant Transit Home as well, which you should try to visit. Don’t hesitate for a second to choose GVSR for your visit to Udawalawa.

Perfect for exploring Udawalawe and the National Park! Beautiful surroundings and a very attractive river flowing in front of the rooms. Friendly staff. Well equipped and clean room! Their best feature is the excellent safari trip. The driver was a very experienced guide. The food was delicious and the owner family is super friendly and supportive. Highly recommended.

Beautiful, quiet location. The lodge is excellent, the best quiet environment I had in Sri Lanka, the jacuzzi tub is perfect for a dip after a long safari. The owner and staff are very friendly. The lodge also organized my private safari and my guide, driver Janaka, was excellent. I actually liked my Udawalawe safari better than the one I did in Yala.

Situé à Kalawana, l’hébergement Jml villa foresta propose une piscine extérieure ouverte toute l'année, une salle de sport et un bain à remous. Great location with an amazing view. The pool was beautiful. The access road isn’t the easiest, but it’s worth it. I learned that the owner prefers not to improve the road to protect the environment, and I completely agree. They arranged a 4WD vehicle from Kalawana, and that ride itself was an unforgettable experience. The staff were excellent. Our driver was careful, skilled, and drove like a pro, calm and friendly throughout. Then there’s our friend Ravi; a truly great person who treated us exceptionally well. He was considerate, helpful, and always willing to go above and beyond to provide anything we needed. The food was fantastic, with plenty of fresh and delicious fruits. The Sri Lankan breakfast was especially tasty. They also arranged a Singharaja tour for us, including a waterfall visit, which was a wonderful experience. Definitely worth the price. I would love to visit again. Thank you for the whole experience.

Un lieu agréable, propre et bien entretenu. Nous savons que les srilankais sont gentils et accueillants mais ici, nous avons rencontré de vraies belles personnes, d'une profonde gentillesse désintéressée. Je ne trouve pas de défaut à cet hôtel. Tout était parfait. Repas, chambres et hôtes. Cela fait trois semaines que nous sommes arrivé au Sri Lanka et nous n'avions jamais été dans un tel endroit avec de telles personnes. Merci beaucoup

Le Glenrock est situé à Belihul Oya, sur le versant sud de la magnifique montagne du Sri Lanka. Toutes les chambres comprennent une télévision à écran plat et un coin salon. I mean, where do I even start. The property itself is stunningly beautiful, accommodation plush and food excellent but the people and service are what really set this resort apart from others. The staff particularly Asanka and Thusith. These guys did more for me than any other resort experience I have ever had. Traveling alone by motorcycle I had no cell service, Asanka went so far as to go to town on his own to find me a portable WiFi router not to mention he loaned me his for the day while he was looking for one for me. Thusith took care of me like family with food, drinks, property tour, and insuring my laundry was collected and ready for me. The massage was fantastic from a true professional, he took special attention to the areas motorcycle riding strains. I really cannot thank and say enough good things about my experience. Then, to top it off Alsanka noticed my motorcycle was dripping oil and had one of the crew come take a look. If it wasn’t for this I surely would have blown the engine. He didn’t stop at that he and Thusith rode a scooter to town while I followed and took me to a store with oil, filled it for me and wished me safe travels.
