Built with wooden materials, Royal Island’s villas feature a private patio with sitting area and views of the Indian Ocean. Each room has a TV and an en suite bathroom with a bathtub and shower. Island is stunning and a 30 minute walk around so big enough to stretch your legs. Accommodation is clean and comfortable and well equipped. Buffet restaurant is amazing and there is something for everyone. Staff are friendly and helpful and always smiling. Reef is badly bleached due to global warming but snorkelling is still fantastic. You will see so many different fish and even sharks (young) and turtles. Island is striving to be eco friendly and no plastic bottles anywhere! Solar will be introduced soon. Activities are over priced and therefore under used. $900 for a 20 minute flight to the nearby island from Male is a rip off.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the resort on the island in the Maldives. One of the aspects we appreciated most was the high standard of cleanliness throughout the property. Our room was exceptionally comfortable and well-appointed, providing a quiet and peaceful environment that allowed for complete relaxation. The dining experience was overall very good, although there is some room for improvement in terms of variety and refinement. That said, the service provided by the staff was truly outstanding. They were consistently professional, courteous, and attentive. We did not encounter a single issue during our stay — their dedication and hospitality were genuinely commendable.

Snorkelling at the UNESCO biosphere reserve was a true highlight. Shout out to the staff who were all wonderful, especially the footballers at the market. Great to see the organised soccer matches for staff at nightfall - makes you think that staff are well looked after which contributes positively to the overall experience. It was also nice to see John the General Manager getting around the tables at dinner time to speak to the residents - it was a nice personal touch. Accommodation, food, the amenities - all amazing, and cycling around the island turned out to be a whole lot of fun. We will return!
