Right on the beach and walking distance to the food market and restaurants. Hotel couldn’t do enough for us, even when we checked out we left our luggage there overnight while we went on an overnight trip and returned the following evening to our next destination.

This Christmas, we had the pleasure of staying at JW Marriott Khao Lak, and it turned out to be one of the most memorable holidays we’ve had. I’m Italian, traveling with my family who came from Italy, along with my husband’s Irish family. We were looking forward to spending some time together in such a beautiful place, but had no idea just how special things were going to be. From the moment we arrived, the hotel’s setting was peaceful and stunning. But what truly stood out was the food. The quality was excellent from the very first meal. Every dish impressed us, and just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, Silvano, one of the Italian chefs, came over to introduce himself. Silvano was warm, genuine, and made us feel at home right away. He shared his story of coming to Thailand, his passion for cooking, and his commitment to quality. It felt like he wasn’t just serving us food, but taking care of us like family. On Christmas Day, we had the pleasure of meeting Chef Enzo, who was just as attentive and thoughtful. Both chefs made sure we were well taken care of throughout our stay. Their hospitality and personal touch made the experience feel truly special. Leaving JW Marriott Khao Lak is bittersweet. We’re incredibly grateful for the great food, warm hospitality, and memories we’ll cherish. We can’t wait to return.

Staff was incredibly nice and they also have motorbikes on site for rent! 150 baht/day for the motor bikes (~$4.50USD/day). Great location, within 5-10 minute motorbike ride to “main drag” of town or the beach!

Every day is an experience at The Sarojin, where staff can easily arrange Thai cooking classes or private boat charters to visit nearby islands. There’s a reason they only get five stars! We didn’t want to leave. The hospitality was incredible. Unbelievably good service in every department. The jacuzzi suite was gorgeous and quite luxurious. Such a beautiful setting with lots of peace. Excellent beach.

The hotel has a perfect location! Right on the beach, and an easy walk to the nearby area of restaurants and shops. Loved the chaise lounges that faced the ocean. The swimming pool was refreshing and even has a swim-up bar. The restaurant where breakfast is served has views of the ocean and lots of choices for food. There’s a pool table and ping pong too! Our room (Deluxe Room with Spa Bath) was gorgeous, and worth the money to upgrade if you can. The jacuzzi bathtub in our room seemed a bit over the top, but it felt magical after a day of walking! Nice view of the ocean, too.

At Happy Lagoon Bungalow guests will find facilities including a hot tub and a spa and wellness centre which also offers massage treatments. For me it was a perfect stay. A peaceful haven. The room was spacious and equipped with air-con, a fridge, TV and plenty of storage. A nice balcony to sit outside and relax. The pool was a good size and jets for massage. There was a good number of sun loungers around the pool. The location was very convenient for shops, bars and restaurants and not far from a beach. The staff were fantastic- they were extremely helpful and friendly. I enjoyed dinner at the restaurant- the food was very good, especially the Penang curry. The bar did fabulous lunches and a great place to enjoy a drink. I would definitely recommend staying here iand would not hesitate to stay there again if I return to Khao Lak.
