Keswick
With beautiful views of the Northern Fells, Ravenstone Lodge is 5 miles from Keswick, at the foot of Ullock Pike so you can relax in the conservatory or on the terrace and enjoy some of the best Lake... It’s far away from the hustle and bustle of Keswick. The room is comfortable and clean. Friendly and attentive staff. Lots of choices for breakfast and the food is great. Tasty dinner with a reasonable price. A short walk from the B&B, through the fields can easily reach the Bassenthwaite Lake. Sitting at the patio at dusk, a glass of beer accompanies us to drive away the fatigue of the whole day. Staying here for three nights completed our visit to the Lake District.

Located in Keswick and only 9.1 km from Derwentwater Lake, The Haven provides accommodation with lake views, free WiFi and free private parking. With garden views, this accommodation offers a patio. We spent 3 wonderful days in a house near Bassenthwaite Lake and Derwentwater, not far from Keswick. The place is ideal for a quiet family holiday - the windows overlook the lake and mountains, and around there is only silence and nature. The house is clean, well-kept and equipped with everything you need: comfortable beds, a fully equipped kitchen, hot water and heating work perfectly. The internet is stable, there is a parking space near the house. The location is very convenient - Keswick is a few minutes by car, and wonderful walking routes start nearby.

A 10-minute walk from Keswick town centre, Lynton Lodge Studio provides self-catering accommodation in the picturesque Lake District. These studios have free parking and WiFi. On arrival the studio was lovely and warm, there was a welcome pack of fresh flowers, chocolates and milk which is a nice touch. The studio is very well equipped also coffee, tea, hot chocolate and sugar were provided. It was clean and comfortable. The owners live next door and are on hand if needed but otherwise respect your privacy. We have stayed twice now, you get the best of both worlds self catering but just the right size apartment better than a hotel room or a cottage we think,, we will be back!

Ees Wyke Country House is an elegant Georgian property in the Lake District, less than 3 miles from the town of Hawkshead. Ees Wyke is a gem in every way; from Richard our host and his staff, to our lovely room, to the delicious breakfast and an amazing, world class dinner, to spectacular scenery, plus it is a very short walk to Hill Top: Beatrix Potter’s home, which is what brought me to the Lake District from America in the first place. I couldn’t have been more pleased!
Bassenthwaite
Situated in 400 acres of deer park and woodland, this prestigious 4-star hotel features a spa with an infinity pool and a modern gym. The AA-Rosette restaurant has lake views. Stunningly set accommodation, beautiful gardens and surroundings which adds so much charm- especially with all the bunnies and wildlife around. The hotel itself had a lot of character, the room had plenty space, a bath and a roof terrace. There wasn’t one member of staff that wasn’t warm and friendly with us which again, really helps to feel at home. The spa being included was really the cherry on top. Indoor and outdoor pool as well as sauna, jacuzzi and steam. It was hard to pack up and leave the next day!

Shepherds View, a property with a garden, is set in Keswick, 20 km from Buttermere, 32 km from Askham Hall, as well as 33 km from World of Beatrix Potter. The location was perfect. Just outside of Keswick not too far if you wanted to walk into the town to save hassle of trying to find parking during the busy day. Moreover, the location of Shepherds view offers amazing views over Keswick and two of the lakes. The owner was very kind and caring about our stay and made sure we were happy and let us know if we needed anything we’d know where to find them. Another thing that we found super helpful and a nice touch was the folder left on the kitchen table full of different activities you can do such as different tours of all the lakes etc…as well as letting us know of nearby walks places to eat and must see locations. Furthermore, the Lodge itself had modern appliances all round but still provided that warm cosy lodge feeling.
