The Hosts and the staff at this Accomondation are just amazing. Everything was fine in the cabines,, we received help for all our questions, the nighttour in the garden was very nice with much information from the host and we had the luck to see howlermonkeys from the breakfastplace on one of the 3 days of our stay. The even helped with the telescope to see the monkeys.

Beautiful location, very near to the volcano so we had amazing view. A bit out of busy La Fortuna but still there were shops and restaurants, it was more quiet and I love that. The garden was very pretty and full of birds, though I liked more wild gardens than so well organized ;). The room and bathroom were huge and very comfy. Strong wifi. Very friendly staff. Nice jaccuzzi :).

One of the best-value and friendliest places we have ever stayed in on our travels. The location is just on the edge of town, less than 10min walk from all amenities in La Fortuna, but at the same time the rooms actually overlook the forest - there were toucans and other birds just outside our room in the mornings! The staff we had contact with all made a big effort to give us all the info we needed - we had a lot of questions and they had a lot of patience with us, and helped us take full advantage of our stay in and around La Fortuna. We would like to make special mention of Armando, the hotel guide, who took us looking for sloths and also showed us some amazing frogs just behind the hotel at night - we highly recommend going on a sloth walk with him. As for the hotel itself, the room was very spacious, comfortable and quiet, the breakfast was excellent and all in all we really couldn't recommend this place enough.

the staff, especially Daniela were great. so many great recommendations. The hotel is located in the middle of town and is accessible to all activities. would recommend renting a scooter to get around. breakfast in hotel is very good. Rooms are comfortable and spacious.

Be sure to know its 500+ steps down then back up again. You'll get in some great exercise. The water was refreshing with of swimmers near waterfall. Lots of areas to rest and drinking stations on way.

The falls are amazing!

The falls are amazing! The 500 steps down are well maintained. It had rained hard the night before and was raining while we were there so we weren’t allowed to swim at the bottom. I thought the entrance fee was a little high but they have nice restrooms and a changing area at the top. There is also a gift shop and restaurant there

Beautiful falls, chilly water, well-maintained, safe parking and restaurant area with lockers. There are a LOT of stairs to get down there, so maybe some people will opt to look at it from afar rather than hike down for a closer look and swim.

I went there early morning, meaning I was one of the first one. You have to be physically fit to climb the stairs, it is very humid and with in the rain season wear sturdy shoes. The butterfly and orchid garden was very disappointing, 2 butterflies and no orchid. That was not my main point to visit. The coffee shop and other shop were still closed when I came back up.

Go early!

Go early! We went one lunch time and the queue was huge, decided to go back another day for when it opened at 7am and we were one of the only ones there. It was amazing swimming round by ourselves and being able to get pictures without the crowds. I don't imagine it is quite so magical with hundreds of people there.

Lovely hotel with clean, spacious rooms and beautiful gardens and views. Great restaurant and bar located on site. Very kind and helpful staff who help guests set up local tours. Highly recommend both the sloth tour with Armando and the horse- riding tour to La Fortuna waterfall with Alberto’s Horses.

Good location , placed about midway between La fortuna waterfall and Arenal Volcano national park. About a 10 minutes drive to the city centre. The in house restaurant serves great pizzas. Layout is nice, has the feel of a resort.

The location is unbeatable! You wake up with the volcano outside your window! The owner super friendly and she makes you your breakfast! Very close to la Fortuna waterfall (walking distance) and we were basically alone there (during rainy season) which was very quite and nice.

In general, the hotel is very good. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the balcony is huge. It’s located a bit far from the busy city, making it a perfect place to relax, enjoy a hot tub, and take in the views of Arenal Volcano. It’s also located near the La Fortuna Waterfall (just a 5–7 minute drive). The property is surrounded by a beautiful garden where you can see many types of birds. The breakfast was okay—just a standard hotel breakfast, nothing special.

We have traveled all over Costa Rica, and I must say that the accommodation at La Fortuna Waterfall Bungalows is the most beautiful of all. Spotlessly clean, stunning bungalows, a kind and helpful owner, and a wonderful location just a short distance from the town center. You can see hummingbirds and other animals right in front of the bungalow – simply breathtaking! I can also highly recommend the Choco Tour, which is located right next to the accommodation. I can only express my deepest thanks! 👍🏻👌👌👌

Bungalows were nice, with enough space and some outside hammock. From the lodge you can see the Arenal Volcano, and it was quite close to La Fortuna Waterfall. Breakfast options were also quite good.

The views of the Volcano (on a sunny day) were stunning. The room, bathroom and shower were really spacious. Plenty of room to put clothes, shoes, toiletries, luggage etc. Good A/C with ability to switch to heat and fan only modes which was perfect for chillier days. Room was clean and in good order, bed large and comfortable too. Veronica was amazing! So helpful and possibly one of the nicest people I’ve come across in CR :-) Location was fairly central - 3km walking to La Fortuna town and 2.5km walking to La Fortuna Waterfall.

The property is absolutely beautiful and well maintained, right in the middle of the rain forest. Room is a bit small but spotless. Very good breakfast. Staff is amazing, super attentive and always ready to help. They also organize a free night tour in the property to see frogs/snakes etc.. La Fortuna Waterfall is not even 10 minutes hotel from the hotel.
