Alcazar de Segovia
Rising from a rocky outcrop at the northern edge of the city, the 900-year-old Alcázar of Segovia is one of Spain’s most visited monuments. Although famously one of the inspirations for Walt Disney’s Cinderella Castle, the Alcázar was originally conceived as a fort. It was re-modelled as a palace in the 15th century and today operates as a museum and military archives building.
