The pool was out of commission for repairs, which was disappointing. When I went back to check it was amended on booking.com after our booking. Luckily it wasn’t too warm so other than that we thought this hotel was fantastic. It was so central and quiet. The staff were lovely and came up to fix our safe straight after we called.

Alcazaba

This magnificent Moorish fortress was constructed during the 10th century, when Almería was named a 'medina' (city) by the Caliph of Córdoba. The grounds are beautiful, with fountains and gardens spreading out over the hilltop. As you explore, you'll look out over the ancient city and the sea.

We loved it- beautiful and calm small gardens & courtyards with stunning Moorish architecture. There are so many great photo opportunities but you need to be there early to take advantage of them, avoiding the crowds. If you intend to continue up the steep pathway to the Castle of Gibralfaro, be sure to hydrate well and take your time in the heat. It's quite challenging, even for enthusiastic walkers.

A total must when visiting Malaga. Beautiful views and lovely architecture. We had a joint ticket with the castle and walked down .. it was great value. Where sensible shoes as the cobbles can be slippery on the way down.

Visit Gibralfaro first as it's on the hilltop and walk down to Alcazaba - this makes the stroll much easier than what many the opposite, that many tourists do. Also take Uber or bus 35 to reach Gibralfaro rather than walking up the hill.

Alcazaba is probably worth seeing, but I did not think it...

Alcazaba is probably worth seeing, but I did not think it was wonderful. It consists of a bunch of mostly empty rooms and areas. The layout is quite confusing, with lots of turns; it is deliberately confusing for defensive purposes according to our guide. The guide was not very good. She had clearly memorized a speech and got confused by questions.

Worth the visit.

Worth the visit. Less well know that it's big brother in Granada but very impressive and worth the visit. Really help to do your homework and get an understanding of the time & context of when the building was in use in order to understand how far ahead of the curve the Moorish occupation of southern Spain was & how they sparked the enlightenment period across Europe.

There is a communal fridge, the building was clean. Walking distance from most tourist sights like museums, Roman Theatre, Alcazaba. Also close to supermarkets, cafetarias, shops. From the main train station and bus station it is quite a walk, about 30 minutes. The marina is also about 10 to 15 minutes walking away.

Great location in the heart of the old town of Malaga. The flat is situated in front of the Picasso museum house and Alcazaba fortress, bars and restaurants are 3 to 10min walking distance including one of the best brunches in town ( next to the entrance of the flat) and the famous EL PIMPI. It is well equipped and spacious, the hot water and shower work perfectly well. The staff is very kind - special thanks to Victor for his help and reactivity. I definitely would stay there again.

Lovely place! The apartment is located in the historic center, so all the bars, shops, and restaurants are nearby. It’s also close to the Alcazaba and the Roman Theatre. The apartment is cozy, with a very comfortable bed and sofa. It had everything I needed — a hair dryer, plenty of towels, an iron with an ironing board, and a nicely equipped kitchen with everything you need for some light cooking. Communication with the owner was excellent — very kind people!

Within a few minutes, we could reach the main attractions such as the Cathedral, the Alcazaba, and the Malagueta Beach. There were also many restaurants, shops, and public transport stops nearby, which made exploring the city very easy. The apartment was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped.
