In June I spent a week in this hotel with my husband on a hill walking trip to the Picos. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely return. Our room was very nice and spacious overlooking the river with great views of the Picos. There is a great pool area which we used on days when we weren’t out and about. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, especially Martha who was so warm and kind and treated us to a nightcap for our wedding anniversary. There is a really nice relaxing lounge area which includes a bar area and also serves coffee. An outdoor area, off this lounge area, is also perfect for chilling and listening to the babbling stream with great views of the Picos.

It was a great stay, very good value for money. The women working at the hotel were lovely and helpful. There was a wide range of food for breakfast and the hotel located is a 5 min walk from the main center.

There were four of us just coming off the trail after four days and we got a small room together with two bunk beds. The staff were nice and we ate all of our meals there which were great. The showers and bathrooms were great. Everything was super clean and it was so worth the money.

It is a challenge if you do the entire hike starting in...

It is a challenge if you do the entire hike starting in Poncebos and have lunch in Cain. Especially the first mile and a half go pretty steep uphill with some loose rock. After that it was quite manageable and the views are great. If you want to experience the views and the more Instagram spots such as tunnels and bridges, start in Cain and go as far as the 9.1 km spot then return. It is much easier and still spectacular.

Close to The Cares Trail which we walked. A bright, cheerful, traditional hotel in the majestic Picos de Europa. Lovely, welcoming staff, hearty food and super clean, comfortable rooms. Incredible views out windows. Parking was a bonus. So happy.

The hotel is in a great location, around 10min walk to the Cares trail and exceptional to visit the trails a bit further away if you have a car. The breakfast is simple but good fuel for the day (juice, coffee, bread, cheese and ham plus some snacks). There is always the option to have lunch or dinner at an affordable price.

Perfect base camp for walking the Cares Trail or up to the village of Bulnes. Comfortable bed in a decent sized room with world-class, paint-stripping-grade water pressure that left a weary traveller as clean as humanly possible while retaining an intact hide. Simple yet good breakfast. Parking onsite. Staff competent and effective in a relaxed manner. Will be back.

Not fancy but great for the price. One of the best 2* hotels I have stayed in. Manolo the host is incredibly enthusiastic and helpful, with a language barrier no obstacle. The El Cares trail is a unique experience not to be missed.

Perfect place for a hiking trip in Poncebos. Many trails start near the hostel, including the famous Ruta del Cares (the Cares Trail). Also, the cable car to Bulnes is close (you could also do the hike as I did). The breakfast is good, not extraordinary. Worth the price. Very convenient parking in front. Good staff. Beautiful view from the restaurant. Recommended.

The best base for hiking the Picos de Europa. Very, very clean and has all the basic amenities. Has a bar and a restaurant for when you want to relax after a long day of hiking and walking. Beautiful views everywhere and breakfast is excellent. Routes like the Ruta Camarmena is right next to the hostel. The restaurant also offers set menus at a really good price and offers Asturian dishes. A short walk to the Furnicular, the trailhead to Ruta Canal dela texu and the Cares Trail.
