The hotel is located in a one-way street off the famous Calle de Serrano and surrounded by many good restaurants including hotel's own restaurant, Gingko Garden which is very decent. The street is very quiet. The room is spacious. The beds are large and comfortable. The kitchen includes a small stove and a microwave oven and is very convenient for a quick breakfast or a simple meal. Definitely will return if visiting Madrid again.

Das Hostal La Perla Asturiana has an optimal location to experience the center of Madrid by foot or local transport. It is just around the corner from the Plaza Major and in close vicinity to many of Madrid's greatest attractions (i.e. Royal Palace, El Retiro Park, Botanical Garden, Templo de Debod, theater, opera house, museums Prado and Reina Sofía) and close to the shopping areas Sol-Gran Vía. The hostel has very friendly and helpful staff and there are a lot of bars and restaurant around with nice nightlife.

I loved everything about this hotel. The location is perfect. Walking distance to the station, El Retiro Park, Plaza Mayor, restaurants, shops and many other places. Its just a of walking and exploring.. staff was amazing, Woitec, at check in was so amazing friendly and answering all our question, to the bartender who offered to clean up the mess I made when I split my coffee in the foyer. So kind

Room was very compact but thoughtfully designed to have everything you needed. It was clean and despite only looking out to a light-well, the lighting within the room was excellent. Tiny bathroom but did the job. The location off the Plaza Santa Ana is fantastic, great spot between some of the main squares in Madrid and sites like the Prado Museum and El Retiro Park.
