Friendliness of the most helpful staff I have ever had in anywhere I have stayed. Nothing was too much trouble no matter how big or small the request. The staff in the Thames Foyer where we had breakfast remembered our names- now that made us feel quite special. A fabulous experience and we will return.

I utilized the Spring Festival holiday to visit the UK with my mom, and we stayed at this hotel. The location of the hotel is excellent, situated right next to Trafalgar Square, with famous landmarks such as the Big Ben and the London Eye just about a 15-minute walk away. The staff were also very nice. I would be willing to stay here again on my next visit. The value for money is particularly good. Some staff members speak Chinese, making it highly recommended for student travelers.

Awesome location in the heart of St James, an easy walk to Piccadilly, Mayfair, and Covent Garden. It's not too far but no traffic at night so it's super quiet for great sleep! The room was awesome albeit a tad small, loved the shower, great staff and a bed I wanted to take home!

London Eye

I spy with my little eye, something beginning with ... L. Get a god’s-eye view of London atop this giant Ferris Wheel on the South Bank. The glass pods hold up to twenty-five people per pod and were designed to represent each of London's 32 boroughs. Infinitely popular, it does exactly as it claims – it takes you up, then it takes you down!

somewhat underwhelming. if you don't get the fast track option expect around a 30 min wait. views are surprisingly obstructed on the opposite side of the Thames - couldn't even see the gherkin! I did expect it to be far more spectacular than what it was.

The location is very central and the beds were comfortable! We also had a great view of the London Eye! Generally it‘s good value for your money and I‘m sure it‘s a great hotel when you get to stay in one of the renovated rooms!

Huge room with kitchenette, great location (near Big Ben, London Eye, and Waterloo station, and only a short walk from most theatres in the Westend away), diverse breakfast buffet, helpful staff, and there's a restaurant for dinner! Also, I really like that you can turn off the AC (I get sick every time I stay in a hotel with AC) and that you can opt out of daily room service (for environmental reasons). This was my second stay at this hotel, and will definitely come back.

I bought tickets in advance because in 2014 they started charging to see the London Eye fireworks. I got there around 7PM with my friends and there were so many people getting in! Took me a while to get past the place they check your tickets but after you pass that you get plenty of time and space to settle. The fireworks were beautiful. To anyone planning to spend the NYE in London: bring food, water and get a good spot as soon as you can. You're probably only going to be able to leave the area around 1AM anyway. The subways stay open until late but they also get super crowded with people heading back home.

I would recommend the combination of attractions, and to book in advance. The London Eye was an amazing experience, the London Dungeons & Madame Tussaud's. The SeaLife Aquarium was good & we were able to casually walk around in there.
