The atmosphere, being able to experience living in a historic college where Charles Darwin studied is one of a kind experience! And we had such a lovely room facing the garden with a large window. The breakfast also great!

One of the highlights of the museum is the display of artefacts from the ancient Egyptian city of Amarna, which was founded by the pharaoh Akhenaten in the 14th century BC. The display of Saami culture from Finland is another highlight of the Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology in Cambridge. The Saami are indigenous people from northern Europe, including parts of Finland, Sweden, Norway, and Russia. The museum's exhibit explores Saami culture and traditions, including clothing, music, and spiritual beliefs.

This is one of the larger of the universities museums (the Fitzwilliam and the botanical gardens being the largest). They have a lovely collect on multiple floors of artifacts from around the world. The curation is very good as well and you learn lots of interesting stories about the cultures from which each of the artifacts came. There are fun activities for kids too.
