It is a truly beautiful place. Everywhere I turned there was a picture calling to be taken. The green grass, the beautiful gardens, trees and flowers, the small pond - everything had an Alice in Wonderlandish feel. It’s far enough from the city to be surrounded by beautiful green fields and close enough that you can get a taxi to ride into the city center when needed. The staff was exceptional, always polite and taking care of every request whether it was a cup of tea in the lawns or suggestions of what to do nearby. The spa was also wonderful - with the heated pool, jacuzzi and steam / sauna, it all added to a relaxing stay

Staff are very friendly (shoutout to Rochelle) and even upgraded our room. Room was big, beds comfy, clean space and perfect view. Worth the money.. Best Location!! Inside the Medieval Walls where you wake up with the Cliffors Tower as the view

We were going to the York Barbican and wanted a hotel near to the site that also had parking on site. It was only 10 mins from theatre. Rebecca was on duty and went over and beyond to make things comfortable for us. We had a meal before the show and also had a great breakfast the next day. Would definitely recommend.

Nice clean hotel, good room, friendly staff. Bedroom was comfortable, tea and coffee facilities (no decaf in room) , plenty of plug sockets, very quiet. Room smelled very nice. Breakfast was ok and plenty to eat. Very handy for York Barbican and The Shambles.

It was ideally located for York Barbican. Maybe a 5-minute walk. The onsite pasta restaurant was good, if a little impersonal (order by QR code) but the food was excellent.

The location is very close to everything. We came for a show at The York Barbican just a short walk away. We found it quiet and private. Cute little place with everything you would need. Parking was included and easy to navigate, very close to the accommodation. We were able to arrived a little early which was really appreciated. Communication was swift and helpful.
