We had the best time here. The hotel is very central so you can walk to most of the sights. Rooms were very clean and got cleaned on request. Breakfast is served in their partner hotel, which is just a minute away and has a beautiful view on the acropolis. All the staff were so kind and helpful. We will definitely come back here again!

The location is right at the center, the staff was very polite and helpful, the room was clean and cosy, it had coffee capsules and a kettle. Nice bed, clean towels, great bathroom. This location was one of few in downtown which you could book without prepayment and then pay at the spot. Thanks a lot for that!

    This was so lovely.

    This was so lovely. Recommend dining at MS rooftop restaurant. We were given an amazing table overlooking the acropolis lit up at night. The atmosphere was fabulous and the staff were so friendly- especially Tony.

    Geat Square and very near everything metro 3 mins and Ermo...

    Geat Square and very near everything metro 3 mins and Ermo Street with all boutiques shop a few minutes but the shop close on Sunday but are open to 9 every night. There plenty of places to eat and great atmosphere with all the street musicians. The Hardian Library stand out and if you walk to it there a, side road beside it that bring u down to the entrance to Agora.the ancient town

    Ooo Boy !!! My favourite place to spend some quality time... Fresh Fruit Catrs were my pick. Base to Acropolis with its beautiful view at night.. Tour buses, Taxis, Subway and open air resturant make it good central point..

    This is just north of the ancient Agora and close to a couple of other ancient attractions. A very lively, busy area full of bazarre-style shops, bookshops, restaurants, bars etc. Well worth a visit at any time of the day.

    Quaint early in the mornings.

    Quaint early in the mornings. Very busy after that with people loitering around, but still enjoyable for the experience of flea markets, outdoor eateries, the metro station and the views up to the Acropolis, esp from the rooftop restaurants there.

    This was the 3rd time we have stayed at the Acropolis House as we use it to break our return from the islands. It’s location is perfect, close to Monastiraki Square and also Syntagma where we get bus for the airport. The hotel is very quirky however we have always been made to feel welcome by the family & the staff & the rooms are comfortable. The breakfasts are amazing & a real treat. We will certainly stay there again in the future.

    Fantastic view! Better equipped than my home, Anastasia had provided everything. It included a fabulous range of snacks and drinks. The Acropolis view was lovely. Best host we’ve encountered. Great restaurants in the area. Easy walk to the Acropolis and other attractions like Monastiraki Square. It’s not Plaka, it’s better, much more authentic.

    The room is super cozy and so well decorated!! The position is superb, just 5min from Syntagma or Monastiraki square by foot and is on the 4th floor with a lift. The contact with the owner Dimitra was super, she is very responsive and if you arrive early there are handy lockers where you can store your luggage until the room is ready. AC is there and quite silent and the bed is very comfy. Definitely recommend!

    Between Monastiraki and Thyssio there's a little street full of restaurants and bar where the food is simply AMAZING. Try tzatziki (cucumber and garlic in a yougurt sauce) or Souvlaki or Mussaka.! :)

    Shopping in May has the advantage of end of winter sales. I saw ankle boots go from 45E to 25E. Prices are better in Athens than say, Thessaloniki, and Monastiraki is where you'll find sales on shoes, clothes and linen.
