Overall, a dream stay. Beautiful grounds, beautiful building and luxurious decor. Friendly, helpful staff. Lots of lovely little touches like classic movies each evening, gourmet dinner in the Pullman restaurant which is actually two train carriages from the original Orient Express, stylish cocktail bar and relaxing reading room in the Abbey.

Location literally in the center. 3 min away from the Galway train station. Staff so kind and room super big. I believe they upgraded us, as we booked a double room and we got a double bed and a single. The bathroom it’s quite big and the hotel in general as well.

The location is at the beginning of the pedestrian zone in the city centre, yet it was quiet in the room during the night (while the party went on in the streets). Even though this might be the smallest room we stayed in, it was so functionally designed, that it felt bigger than many rooms that are triple in size. Sincere compliments to the architects!

Staff at check in were pleasant & efficient, despite a large party group at reception area at same time. But it is a rather small reception area, and 1 of the desk clerks came over to me so that I was checking in away from the crowd. Breakfast was great, attentive service by my server. My room was clean and comfortable, shower pressure was great (I have long hair that takes a while to rinse out). And it is a short walk, less than 5 min, to Eyre Square.
