This hotel is charming. When you are in the restaurant having dinner or breakfast (all homemade and extremely good), it is as if you were in 1890. Because of the decoration, of course. The staff is very friendly, the beds are very comfortable and the outdoor hot pot is wonderful.

Location ,breakfast, reception, place value everything was more than perfect also the staff were more than friendly and co-operative. Furthermore, they helped us with our plan which we did for the activities and the place we want to see by booking and advising. The hotel is in the countryside but you will find a markts and resturats along with gas stations very nearby.

Thingvellir National Park

Not only is Thingvellir National Park as beautiful as a storybook, it’s also the meeting place of the oldest parliament in the world. A group of free men called The Althing met here from 930 until 1798, and thus the land holds a special place in both Icelandic and world history. It’s also an adventurer’s paradise, with a range of hiking routes, dramatic waterfalls and rugged geological formations.

    - quiet and peaceful surroundings - good size for a group of 4 adults(2 couples), wouldn't recommend going there with more people - well equipped kitchen - lake nearby - perfect for day trips to the sights in Thingvellir National Park
