We had a great stay at Eccelso Hotel! Check-in and check-out were smooth and hassle-free. The rooms were exceptionally clean and well-maintained. We especially liked the high ceilings, which gave the room a spacious and elegant feel. The location is excellent—just a short walk to St. Peter’s Basilica, local eateries, and the train station and Bus is right opposite to this property, making it very convenient for sightseeing and getting around. It's a great choice for families. Highly recommended!

Small and personal hotel with friendly staff

Loved the space in the grounds and the tortoises roaming the courtyard. The rooms are clean and functional. The staff are helpful and friendly. Loved that they packed us a takeaway breakfast as our flight left early.

The atmosphere is absolutely unique — vaulted ceilings, quiet courtyards, and a beautiful on-site chapel that still carries a sense of calm and history. We especially loved the peaceful garden and the breathtaking rooftop terrace overlooking the city at sunset. Our room was spotless, spacious, and filled with character — the perfect balance between old-world charm and modern comfort. The breakfast spread was lovely, with fresh pastries, fruits, and excellent cappuccino enjoyed under the ancient arches. Every staff member we met was warm, helpful, and genuinely caring — their hospitality made us feel at home. If you’re looking for a hotel that blends history, tranquility, and authentic Roman atmosphere, Donna Camilla Savelli is a true hidden gem. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else in Rome.
