First of all the location was great. When we entered one of the staff members who was very beautiful, welcomed us with a huge smile, explained everything, showed us where to go(what to eat, what to visit, etc.). The room was super clean, spacious, and comfortable. The bed was freshly made every day, towels were changed every day as well. The staff was very attentive and super friendly. Breakfast was good, they had indoor and outdoor seating. 2 terraces, with a great view. I definitely recommend 💜

The Colosseum

The fights! The glory! This iconic arena specialized in gory ends. Built in the 1st century, it held up to 80,000 spectators who came to witness gladiatorial combat and bloody reenactments of naval battles. When you look up at the stands, it doesn’t take much imagination to hear the deafening roar of the crowds or to picture the fierceness on display.

I almost got pickpocketed !

I almost got pickpocketed ! good thing my pouch was attached with a chain. Very crowded and too many people allowed in at once so it was almost impossible to really see anything. It seems making lots of money is the only thing that the people that run the place care about. Skip the Colosseum or at the very least book a small tour and skip the line.

The Colosseum and the Roman Forum area are interesting, but crowded. In some ways taking the suburban train out to Ostia Antica, the old port for Imperial Rome, is better as itthe layout is clearer, though you are under the flightpath of Fiumicino Airport.

Loved it. The first time I was there in 1969 I didn't get to go inside. This trip I did get to see it up close and personal. Like any attraction these days be prepared for everybody trying to take a "selfie". Make that "multiple selfies".

Disgusting, the ticket site and booking.com, changed times and all three tickets at the same time, tired to communicate with both sites, no joy wasted hundreds of dollars, way too many people booked for every second of the day, it is too chaotic, I nearly flew home to Australia, that's how bad the service was their and booking.com, you didn't answer or help. By far the worse tour

Great location. About a 25 minute walk to the Colosseum. Lots of restaurants, coffee bars, shops close by. The hotel was easy to find & about two walkable blocks from Roma Termini train station. The bed & linen we’re comfortable. The bathroom was more than adequate. The windows were quite soundproof when fully closed up. The room was cleaned daily over a 4 night stay.

Antonio is a good person! The hotel is 1-star, but he pays attention to everything. It’s a simple place, not very fancy, and the smell isn’t great, but overall, for a 1-star hotel, everything is good. The Wi-Fi works great! I’ll never forget that the street ends with a view of the Colosseum — and there’s also a park at the end of the street.

The building itself was a little bit old, but the apartment was nice. It looked fairly new, it was clean, and it was well stocked. The check-in and checkout instructions were very clear and communication before hand was great. The location was great access to public transportation and was only 15 minutes from the Colosseum.

We had a fantastic stay at Valvet Suite in Rome. The location is excellent – just a short walk from the Colosseum and about 200 meters from the metro, which makes exploring Rome very easy. Around the hotel, there are great local restaurants to try. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated. The staff is outstanding, friendly, and very helpful, making the whole stay stress-free. Definitely a great choice for anyone visiting Rome – I would happily stay here again!

The place and our host were great. It was clean, had all the amenities we needed, the location was literally 2 steps from the colosseum. I recommend walking, it takes approximately 10 minutes to get to the colosseum, but there is also a bus station close to the apartment. Laura was really nice and also recommend us some places to visit. It was a great stay, I will for sure book this again for the next stay in Rome.

The location was awesome with views of the Colosseum (8-10 min walk) and various stores close. Metro was close by. The apartment was spacious and it was very nice that the bedroom is away from the living room. AC worked well and shower was good. The host answered all of my questions and then some. They supplied a crib as requested. It was a great place to stay, would stay here again when in Rome.

Even though it’s not in a premium location, it’s very convenient and lively, surrounded by shops and restaurants, and close to the Colosseum and Termini station. The Monti area and other important landmarks in Rome are also nearby. The room was spacious and clean, with nice touches like slippers, toothpaste, and a toothbrush - just like in higher-end hotels. It was tidy and partly renovated, offering great value for the price.
