High end shopping and street singers.

High end shopping and street singers. Restautants and wine bars on the main drag are expensive. The downhill places are full of locals and better value. On the uphill side, Casa Niclodi is a gem, exceptional food and delightful setting

Among the pretentious and pricey brand name stores are a few pleasant cafes and restaurants, from which one can watch stylishly dressed Italians, and frumpy foreigners traipse along without fear of traffic.

Horrible to get through with psychotic drivers and suicide jockeys on motorcycles and scooters. Pedestrians tended to cluster in the middle of the street blocking traffic. Perhaps in April, this city would be a better place to visit but in August, it is severely hot and dangerous to attempt to drive anywhere.

Top tourist hangout!

Top tourist hangout! Lots of similar restaurants offering similar priced meals. Overpriced clothing and jewelry shops. Beautiful location and sights though. The town is really nice without the crowds. The people were pretty friendly. The euros flow like water.

This was the best accommodation we had on our 3 week stay in Italy. Very Modern and spacious apartment with a pool, great view and excellent location - 5 minute stroll to Corso Umberto. Host MariaTeresa was amazing. She gave us a warm and friendly welcome and was full of excellent advice that made our time in Taormina a highlight.

Overall, everything was fantastic - the room was lovely, the staff were helpful, and the location was perfect. It was right in the prime location in the centre on Corso Umberto. Just a friendly tip for future guests - I would recommend calling the hotel ahead of time to ask for directions on where to park. We ended up parking too far from the hotel and had to drag our suitcases a long way. A quick call could save you the hassle! Hope this helps for future visits.

Stayed in Agave apartment at Le Villette. Amazing views from a large, well furnished patio with relaxing jacuzzi. Great location. Few minutes from cable car to Isola Bella and bus station around the corner for transportation. Just a few minutes stroll to bustle of Corso Umberto with all the restaurants, shops and attractions. Flavia is a superb host and met us at the property. Very helpful and answered any of our questions , gave recommendations and advice with tours. Thank you.

The location is amazing. Right by corso Umberto but not in it so it’s quiet to sleep at night. Also by the cable cars which is very handy. The breakfast is also really lovely for such a small hotel. Everything tasted fresh and the staff were great too.

We had an excellent stay at Humboldt Apartments! The host was extremely accommodating and made us feel very welcome. The location couldn’t be better – right in the middle of Via Corso Umberto, with everything just a short walk away. The apartment itself was very nice, spotless, and very well kept. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay and would definitely return. Highly recommended!
