Me and my 2-year old daughter stayed here for one night. The location was amazing with a toddler. A good size room for two people, also great bathroom with a bide. Room was very warm, you can regulate your temperature. In a room there is a small fridge, very good is you buy something to eat or drink for your child.

Vatican Museums

The Vatican Museums are undoubtedly a must-visit. You’ll find these hallowed halls housed in the holy Vatican City. Perhaps that’s why the works here are of such a godly nature – expect true masterpieces (Ever heard of the Sistine Chapel?) and a beauty so supreme it can’t even be tainted by the crowds of trampling tourists.

So much, we took the guided tour, yes very informative, but skimmed so much to fit within the time allowed, massive crowds, next time maybe we will just get entry to take the experience slower. but worth the visit whichever way it is done I am sure.

Expensive, and even more expensive if you take a tour and avoid the endless lines for tickets. Some of the world's greatest painting masterpieces are here. No bare shoulders or hemlines above the knees are allowed.

Probably important to preface this with: I'm not an art person. But I thought we couldn't miss the masterpieces contained here. Turns out, we could have. We went during closing hours for "fewer crowds" but still the sistine chapel was an unpleasant experience. They really try to shove as many people as possible into the place and I was having none of it. Once you go through to the other side of the partition it's much more enjoyable as they won't be barking at you to shove in shove in. It was just not worth it for us, even with a guided tour so we knew what we were seeing.

I visited the Vatican Museum here, not the Vatican itself.

I visited the Vatican Museum here, not the Vatican itself. The Museum has much incredible art, and I booked a walking tour. By the end of the tour (two hours later), I was understandably tired. Most of what I can remember consists of dusty, half-lit rooms, which didn't help. I was glad to get some fresh air. Be aware that, being close to the Vatican and the Piazza S. Pietro, this neighbourhood is a magnet for junk sellers and scammers. Be extra careful here. The police will do nothing about them.

I've been several times before, but my husband had not, so we booked a group guided tour with Viator. I can say that the Catholic Church has RUINED the Vatican museum and the Sistine Chapel with their greed by shoving 25,000-45,000 people per DAY through there with very little time to see anything!! It was NEVER like this before and I'm appalled that it's become so disgustingly greedy to do this! Our tour started at 2:45 and it was SO crowded and SO rushed that we literally had 3 minutes in the Sistine Chapel, which is at the end of the tour, before the nasty guards literally turned all of the lights off and shoved us out the door!!! Can't miss your 5 pm espresso apparently!!! We were literally crowded shoulder to shoulder with others throughout a great deal of the museum and the chapel!!!

Book skip the line or a tour of the museums, Sistine Chapel and Basillica as one tour, if you book sistene chapel and basillica as a tour you do not have to wait in the huge security line for the Basillica (although it is free if you choose the latter) .

Very good location, walking distance to St Peter’s Basilica and Vatican Museums. The apartment is spacious (feels more spacious than it looks in the pictures) with all the features needed for a comfortable stay and the garden is just perfect! Dear Giulio thank you for your excellent communication and for making us feel welcome.

We loved the apartment in a historical building less than 500 m from Saint Peter’s Square and just down the road from the Vatican Museums. The location could really not be better. The area is lovely with wide streets and wonderful restaurants and Luiza Vatican House is just three blocks away from the metro station. Communication with the host was good and the self-check in easy. Our en-suite room was clean and comfortable and the kitchen well equiped.

I had a wonderful stay at this apartment in Rome! The location was perfect — just a short walk from the Vatican Museums and St. Peter's Basilica, with a metro station conveniently nearby. The host was incredibly welcoming and communicative, making check-in smooth and easy. The apartment itself was spotless clean and very well equipped with all the essentials you could need. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Rome!

The property is modern, large and clean. Close to local small supermarket and Bar. Cipro Metro station is an easy 20 Min walk and the Vatican Museums around 10 minutes more. We didn’t use the station right by the property as it had less frequent trains and not direct to centre of Rome.

You cannot avoid the crowd. The best suggestion to visit Vatican museums and St Peter's is to take a guided tour. To visit the Colosseum, book your tickets in advance over the internet and skip the line. Other attractions are easy to visit.
